Woman sues TV station over lottery numbers error
Normally I would agree with the comments posted above. But why would the TV station broadcast 1,2,3,4,5 ? Looks like someone at the TV station wanted to have some fun. and shame on the lady for playing 1,2,3,4,5, MB 6. Could happen, but unlikely. So, in the end she wouldn't have won anyways, and shame on the TV station for pulling such a prank.

Megaplier
I've noticed that the (simulated) Megaplier draw is no longer part of the Texas Tuesday and Friday night draws. The actual Megaplier selection is before the Mega Millions draw at 9:59, but a simulation had always been a part of the Texas draw at 10:12. It was shown after all the game numbers were drawn and right before the Mega Millions draw recording was played. The selection isn't part of the Mega Millions draw broadcast, like the Powerplay number selection is featured in the Powerball draw

Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
Monopoly- Ticket#17 paid out ten dollars. 18 and 19 were duds, used it for the second chance drawing they are promoting. The promotion is the worse I have seen them broadcast...a possible chance to win up to 200$....I'm in for a fifty dollar drawing and a one hundred dollar drawing. Neither of which I am betting the farm on. Did win 50$ on $2 win for life in the bonus area part (ticket #092). Win for life though is averaging one hit out of twenty tickets and then its a two dollar win.... M

TN Pick 5 ending; New game to replace it
Did you see the story in the Tennessean about the dire financial condition of the HOPE scholarships? Seems the Lottory people are being asked to increase the amount of money they give to the State so the HOPE scholarships can continue to fund the sholarships at their present level. Something like that. My suggestion is for the Lottory people to bring back ball drop. I, for one, do not trust RNG. If they don't want to broadcast the draw across the state (due to cost), they can put the video

POLL - On The Whole Do The Lotteries Provide Truly Random Numbers?
The lottery commission here runs RNG Keno draws every 5 minutes. It's just prime for someone with a lot of computers and a lot of storage to database several RC-4 runs and see if the sequences are matching any of them. You can probably assume it's just the Microsoft CryptGenRandom() call with a straight modulus add 1 operation. Might take months before one matches your pre-generated runs but then you can have your computers SMS you with some likely numbers to come up in the next couple of hours

The REAL reason lotteries like RNG.
Okay but it was fun to say for the states that do not broadcast anymore. Just a few questions, how many people are still employed on overtime or strait or salary when the switch was made? Is the presentation the same involving the same number of people in front and behind the camera? I'll bet a dollar that what you might see now is only a stepping stone to cutting PRODUCTION costs . Missouri Lottery gives inside view of computerized drawings
Note they use marketing catch phrases Advances in computer technology new approach . Because there is no way to witness the exact method the computer generates the numbers, there will always remain a degree of doubt as to how random the numbers really are. The Missouri Lottery, by way of its inside-look video, hopes to erase some of those doubts, and to tout the system's benefits as more efficient, less costly, and more secure. Less costly to use their retired machines and ball

Maryland: 4/1 - 4/30/2010
Good going destined2bgr8. I went to the site around 7pm to check on the racetrax picks of the day and found no results. I thought maybe the site was down for maintenance. How inconvenient for us, the paying customers, who has made this industry, maybe the biggest profit making industry in our area. Don't tell me they can't pay their techs to perform upgrades and maintenance during the off hours. They do this on a day when they don't broadcast the results on channel 11,(what a joke). What were

How many pre-test draws are normal?
so you would want to get in on the fix! you wouldn't mind having them black out the drawing when the machine fails to work for some reason. Then they draw the balls off the air and broadcast the numbers on their website. Yea i bet people would jump for joy for that. If 333 showed up in three pre test draws, the official draw and the after draw then there could possibly be ball or machine tampering going on.

More shenannigans from the Illinois Lottery
Hey Coin Toss, Did they show it live or taped later in the broadcast? I'm not saying it's fixed either but opportunities can arrise if you know what I mean. Stranger things have happened with a wink and a nod (I grew up in Chicago).
