Take 5 NY
The weather has been great lately, but a couple of weeks ago we hit a cold stretch.. Mid 40's overnight, and lemme tell ya THAT's COLD!! Must be because my blood has thinned out.
I'm fine, thank you! Our two year old grandson was here over Christmas (He lives in Westchester County with his parents) and we got some big news. He's going to be a Big Brother next July.
Like you, I'm still waiting for that big mother lode to come home... Florida Fantasy5 with its 5/36 matrix has easier odds

Buying MM or PB lottery tickets
When 4 tickets in a pool of 500,000 are chosen at random to be a winner, the probability that a single ticket wins is 1 in 125,000 (I'm assuming they exclude a winning ticket from being able to win again, i.e. they do random draws without replacement).
It's a straightforward 4/500000, which reduces to 1/125000 by dividing the numerator and denominator by 4.
After they draw the first winner, the probability of a single ticket that didn't win on the first draw turning into a winner is 3 in

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Yep, but getting 2 lines with x10s, 3 lines with x10s, 4 lines with x10s and 5 lines with x10s is not the same as one single x10.
The probabilities multiply in a multi-dimensional geometric pattern.
Getting 5 lines with x10s on a 5 play line purchase is vastly and much more difficult than just getting any 1 line with a x10 or none at all.
We've run a simulation with 1,000,000 samples and the best that was possible for that run was one 4 consecutive x10s that happened at a little more

Pennsylvania Lottery releases its own Cash Pop draw game
I had another interaction with Cash Pop in Pennsylvania yesterday. I played a mix of Match6, Powerball, P3 and P4 on a vending machine. I fed my slips in and while it was cranking my tickets out, the screen pops up and says my free ticket had been generated. I didn't know I had a free ticket coming. When I sorted through the tickets after I got home, there was a Cash Pop ticket among them. I had played $4 in P3 and apparently playing a P3 generates a chance you'll get a free Cash Pop QP.

The Midday result was 7 3 5 4 .
Analysis: The Pendulum Swung (Mostly)
The strategy to bet on a Swing to Odds was spot on.
Prediction: We called for a shift to Odd numbers to correct the Even-heavy draw from last night.
Result: You got 3 Odds (3, 5, 7). This is exactly the correction we modeled.
Key Hits: Our Key Numbers list included 3 and 5 . Both landed.
The Repeater Factor: The machine dragged the 4 and 7 straight from last night's draw (0-4-7-2) into today. That Iner

Florida's Fantasy 5
Took a look at Jackpot Winners and Retailers Information Report for FF5 on The Florida Lottery's website this morning because I haven't looked at it since I dunno when.
Midday drawing jackpots are all over the place in terms of prizes won, but lately, if you hit a jackpot by yourself in The Evening Draw, you could win approximately $110,000. If you are the lone winner of a midday draw, then you'll win less than half of $110,000. Then of course The Lottery is going to withhold income taxes f

NY Dream Team 2024
So all the active vtrac playlists now which are 4 have what I really want that 410 combo.
My bday 403 mirror'd 3 times and none of those hit yet. 410 on that vtrac playlist.
Still one left on the 120 mirror list and that has 410.
I swear the odds for it to hit could not be better with 510 or near due soon...
And it's been a year and a half basically since it last hit in any order in freakin NY

Virginia Lottery Director Khalid R. Jones appointed as Mega Millions Lead Director
1-MM should bring the price back down to $1. You want wide public participation in this type of game to pump the jackpot up.
2-most of lottery players are low-income people.
3-play the game three times / week like PB has done (T-R-Sun).
4-$1 price wouldn't make people to think twice about spending money to play the 1:292M odds (I'll try my luck with chump changes).
5-take 45% cut of the jackpot instead of 60% (return some of the money back to those initial jackpots).

Balancing Odds and Cost 😁
A lot of players talk about or are thinking about value when buying a lottery ticket. That's fine if that's important to a player.
Given the odds of winning any jackpot, the value is always a negative.
I respect the length people go to when calculating that value it would be interesting to see the same approach towards the purchase a pack of cigarettes or beer
When I buy tickets all I'm thinking about is What could/would I do with it if I won a big pile of money?
I am with you
