Calif. lottery winners try to remain as anonymous as possible
OwlCreekBridge said: Mike and Lynda Weeks should have gotten a lawyer to protect their identities or at the very least, they should have printed out news articles like these and shown the lotto officials and prove that they can indeed remain completely anonymous.?
I always assumed California Lotto winners could collect anonymously. Now I'm not so sure. You're right about getting a lawyer. In California, a lawyer costs about $350/hour. A simple job like this would take no more than 10 hours.

Why not a Full Picture of those who Won: A Complete Body Photo Album of those who won

Pumpi,
The lottery doesn't pick people to win. People get lucky and win.

Why not a Full Picture of those who Won: A Complete Body Photo Album of those who won
Why? If I'm going to do any of that why not give out me bank acct numbers and SS#. Better yet, I'll give out my full street address and leave my doors unlocked.
It's bad enough that they get a head shot (if you can't claim anonymous).....all the more reason to go in disguise.
It's time to change the bong water pumpi

Lotto Maxims
Wasn't any need for sarcasm off or on, I'm talking eons beyond politics, I am talking lotto.
Just consdier the stinger threads here on LP regarding the lottery, QP vs PP (Player Picks). Take the Illinois Pick 5 game, I use it as an example because it's drawn every day. 119 jackpots paid so far this year, 104 of the winners played a QP (includes shared jackpots). Think that convinces any of the anti-QP crowd anything? Think again.
Then how about anonymous or not, annuity or cash option, et

My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
It would NOT be advisable to download and execute a program written by an anonymous poster. Virus protection software will not find anything objectionable in a viral or destructive program if the virus or destructive code is part of the normal execution of the program. Even if the author is not attempting to do harm, he/she could delete all your files accidently through a logical error (BUG) in the code.
Besides, in the instant case, I have clearly explained that I do not believe the results

If you win the jackpot on the lotto and were to give
You could probably say that y'all bought the tickets together. That's what pools do. Of course in that scenario it would probably be split 50/50 (you and them as a couple), saying y'all went in as a group but then not divide the winnings evenly may look fishy to either the lottery or the government.
I've read some members on here mention creating a trust or LLC and you can add whoever you want as a part of that group and you won't have to pay the gift tax. I believe you could still claim

My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
How do you KNOW how many TOTAL purchases were made by RL over some reasonable period of time? I have ocassionally had $100+ wins, but my overall cost of playing is still greater than 50% of what I spend buying tickets.
What we need to see is RL-RANDOMLOGIC'S BOX of non winning tickets as well as scans of his winners over the time period he has been playing his system. Why don't you require that? People here are anonymous, and many are either selling software or building a potential list of cu

Doctor who won lottery still wants 'to help people'
x2 I wish there was a way to stay anonymous. Unfortunately you have to do press release and have your name, state, age, amount won published if they ask. However I would NOT be on a TV show anouncing to everyone that I won!
I won a decent amount in 2008 and really wish no one had found out. It seems once you tell one person, then its a snowball effect. No matter how excited you are you have got to keep it a secret (except for close family).
It is very true people will ask you for
