OMG, finally fixed nasty bug!
I'm sure Gold and Platinum members have been cursing their computer screens every time that warning message about String can't be converted to Boolean appears just before the text editor comes on the screen. I know I have for the last week now! The good news is that I have finally found and fixed the bug. Rather than post the detail of the fix in the forums, those interested in hearing about it can head over to my blog and check it out there. Those who are not interested in the detail

Sopranos' Vinny Vella fumes over $5M lotto misprint
I agree 100%. For them to allow 4500 tickets to be sold with a known error that could indicate false positives...I say they should eat this one and pay the man the money. $5,000,000 to the NY Lotto is POCKET CHANGE. I believe it is an appropriate penalty for their incompetence in not preventing these tickets from being delivered to the end buyer. It will be a message to other lotteries to GET IT RIGHT when they print their tickets. God forbid a single mother on welfare with 4 kids get this ti

Combinations & % Error Challenge
You and the readers can think anything they want, but thinking something is correct doesn't mean it is. The lottery is about math, not logic. Your logic in #3 is correct, but you're making an assumption that may or may not be correct. With math there are no assumptions and you have to get everything right. The chance that your assumption is correct is 87.18%, and you've left 87.18% of the combinations in play. There's also a 12.82% chance that your assumption is wrong, in which case it's absolut

The Most important Lottery Statistics
Hi, By eliminating numbers you increase your odds that you will hit. Mainly because you've reduced the amount of combinations. Examples in a Fantasy 5 game might consist of 1) numbers that have occured two times in a row or 2) numbers that have occured 3 times in the last 10 games or 3) numbers that have occured more than 8 times in the last 39 games. As always, there are examples where these things have occured, but it is a very low percentage of the time. Because cumulitive errors are mult

PLEASE READ: About Idiot Spammers
First, look at how many posts they have made on LP. You'll usually find they have made few previously. Second, if it is off-topic, (we discuss lotteries here) or promises something too good to be true it could be spam, especially if the post wants you to click on a link. Don't worry that you may be in error necessarily. That is for Todd to decide. Just let him know you think the post is spam or a scam, and the call is his....we are not the judge...Todd is, and I don't think he minds if we rep
