He said that more than 13 numbers in a full wheel is impractical and I disagree with him. I currently use full wheels with 30 numbers (100000+ tickets). This ensures me I have a much greater chance to have all the winning numbers among them and then perform what I call intelligent filtering . This allows me to bring

Greedy?
Quote: Originally posted by MetroPlex on July 19, 2004 I guess you are greedy? To someone who has nothing a million dollars is alot of money and can go along way. MP True, to someone who has nothing, a million dollars is a lot of money, but once you have a million dollars or even half that amount you won't think like someone who has nothing. It's all relative to what you are used to.RJOh

*UNITED we STAND*Calling all Predictors!
The best way to get a group of people on the same page for a jackpot game is to start a pool, nothing unify people faster than sharing the expenses and the winnings. With the pick3 and pick4 games the payout isn't big enough for a pool, but there are plenty of posters sharing their ideas and picks,so just check out a few and pick the ones you like, you'll win as much as they do or more if you use their ideas and not their numbers.RJOh

New systems should be tested on 100 runs
Too many people come to Lottery Post looking for something that they can't even buy from a professional software developer. They want a proven system to win money playing the lotteries, not an idea. They continue to be surprised that winning money playing a lottery is as hard as the odds suggest.RJOh

Gap Analysis
In the RNG program that I use to pick my numbers, gap and range are used as parameters to control how numbers are distributed. For example in picking numbers to play in MegaMillions, I might enter parameters of 20-51 for ranges and 0-20 for gaps and discard any combinations which had 2 or more adjacent gaps of 1(0) such as 15-16-17-35-40. Gaps, ranges and sums are the easiest kinds of data to calculate so they are mentioned all the time weather they are useful is a question yet to be answered

Choosing a range
JKING,When I use the same routine on Ohio649P for the last 400 drawings, 23 covered 75% of the drawings and 28 covered 85% of the drawings. It all depends on the amount of coverage or how wide you want to set you parameters.RJOh

Choosing a range
Pick-4 Master, Is there a method to the madness of why you picked 30 games for pick 5 and 52 games for your pick 6?Rjoh I came up with 28 games for the 6/49 also. I can usually expect an occurrence average of 3 when analyzing the individual numbers.

New systems should be tested on 100 runs
Quote: Originally posted by Bertil on July 16, 2004 We should demand that any new or old system for Play 3 be tested on at least 10 runs before being posted here. BertilWho is going to enforce that demand and what will be consequences for those that do other wise? NoLuckYet wanted to do the same for bad predictions. You got to take the bad with the good and test them before you actually use them.RJOh

Choosing a range
I have a routine in my program that count the number of previous drawings you have to include to cover all the numbers in a drawings. In MegaMillions 75% of the time that is 28 drawings or less, so I go back 28 drawings. MegaMillions have 52 numbers so it requires more drawings than Ohio649, which I also play, to cover 75% of the time. Buckeye5 with 37 numbers take even less drawings to do 75% coverage.RJOh

My Mega Millions
I've picked 52 lines for tonight's drawing, one for each mega ball, so I know there is at least one winner among them, but I only plan to play a few of them. I will post the ones I plan to play in the prediction section and the rest in the jackpot section later tonight.Good luck MegaMillion players.RJOh
