Are Lotteries Rigged
I don't believe Government controlled Lotto's are rigged. The most important point for say a 6/49 Lotto is the equal opportunity of each number to be picked which determines the published odds. If a Computer picked the same number in this Lotto it is rejected and another choice is made. Distortions to do with the Computer Timer which I would be more concerned with really don't come into it because of the big time gaps between Draws. However, I can't say the same about your Pick3/4 which I tend to

Best scratch game?
Quote: Originally posted by keystonechas on March 04, 2004 Lotto Czar,Some comments for you.By the end of January I stop playing X-mas tickets. The reason? Lots are given as gifts to people who don't play the lottery on a regular bases. They overlook lots of winners and throw them away. A perfect example is my girlfriend. She only plays the lottery when Powerball gets above $100 million, and only then if I remind her. I gave her one of those $20 tickets with a guaranteed prize of $10 at Christma

Did you ever wonder?
Let me clear a few things up about winning the Lottery first of all it has nothing to do with fate or whether your meant to or not.If you don't win does that mean it was your fate that you never win? if you try for a job and don't get it was it fate? or that someone was just more qualified. If every job you went for in your fielddidn't hire you is it your fate to be jobless? no just change your field and look for something else.If the method your using hasn't produced any wins then try something

Are Lotteries Rigged
To johnph77:No, there is no mandated minimum payout for any of our games. Thanks for doing the math on the payouts, though. This is valuable information that I can use in my little crusade. I don't necessarily agree that this discussion is outside the scope of this forum (after all, the header reads, Are Lotteries Rigged? ), but I certainly don't want to offend anyone here, so this will be my last post on the matter. This is my battle and I had no right to involve any of you in it. Actually, I

The local TV star who rigged the lottery
Shortly after 7pm on April 24th, 1980, millions of Pennsylvanians watched intently as a third and final ping-pong ball shot up the tube of a machine on live television.
And there you have it, exclaimed the station's beloved announcer, Nick Perry. Today's Pennsylvania lottery daily number: 6-6-6!
As the cheesy music faded and the lights dimmed, Perry implored lucky ticket holders at home to claim their prizes: If you've got it, come and get it!
What the public didn't know was that Per

Benford’s Law and The Lottery!
Benford s Law and The Lottery
Benford's law, also called the first-digit law, states that in lists of numbers from many real-life sources of data, the leading digit is 1 almost one-third of the time, and larger numbers occur as the leading digit with less and less frequency as they grow in magnitude, to the point that 9 is the first digit less than one time in twenty. This counter-intuitive result applies to a wide variety of figures, including electricity bills, street addresses, stock

chatgpt prompt: write three blurbs for a book about a person being stalked by the lottery.
output:
A darkly funny nightmare wrapped in a conspiracy thriller. Every scratch ticket, every billboard jackpot, every cheerful jingle feels like a threat. By the final page, you ll never look at a convenience store the same way again. Imagine if fate had a marketing department and it wanted you dead. This novel turns the American dream into psychological horror, following one ordinary person as t

Lottery Numbers Aren't Meant To Be Random
the fact they pre-test in this manner is proof the numbers aren't random.
I'd agree, except that we aren't both idiots. Those pre-tests are precisely because the process is random and they're checking to make sure that nothing suggest a problem that interferes with that expected randomness. That you don't understand why they do it doesn't change the reasons for doing it.
I'm sure I can see a pattern in your movement from bed to toilet in stunning accuracy due to the fact you are in a co

$1.7 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
The scandal involving Nick Perry and Edward Plevel refers to the 1980 Pennsylvania Lottery Daily Number fix, in which they and several others rigged a drawing to produce the number 666. The scheme involved weighting the lottery balls so that only certain numbers could be drawn.
Key participants
Nick Perry: The television announcer for the daily live drawings. He was identified by a grand jury as the mastermind of the plot. Edward Plevel: A former lottery district manager. He was involve
