Hey guys, I forget which states you can claim the Mega Millions and Powerball anonymously. Need help
The games are multi-state but the rules on claiming anonymously are state-by-state.
You'd have to google each participating state's lottery website to get that information.
For a little anonymous humor no state can match Delaware. Do a search for that here on LP and see what you find.

Does your family get sick of you playing the lottery?
My husband often walks into the local store where I play lottery, keno and other games and say to my cohorts, who are also playing, somebody, give my wife the number to gamblers anonymous.....and then, he proceeds to play also.
Other members of my family have now come to except my playing. As long as I can pay for it, not complain of losing all of the time and continue to play, report some wins from time to time, then they don't find it a big problem.
Heck, it's relaxing, exciting and fun

Vermont adds multi-state Hot Lotto game
I read this on Vermont Lottery's website!
Q: If I win, can I remain anonymous?
A: The name, town and prize amount on your Claim Form is public information. If you put your name on the Claim Form, your name becomes public information. If you claim your prize in a trust, the name of the trust is placed on the Claim Form rather than your name, and the name of the trust is public information.

Self-described 'lottery freak' buys $88M Powerball ticket
The only thing that bothers me about this is.... well, they play the lottery all the time, so wouldn't you think they would find a way to be anonymous? I know, I know, NC doesn't allow that, BUT if you do a trust or something similar, you can have your cake and eat it too.
Unfortunately, I see troubles ahead for that family if the son is already mentioning that he HAS to give some money to his father and family. Yes, he's joking...but there may be something underlying it. I really hope not.

Should I Do The Press Conference...?
The thing about of press conferences is sometimes they help you keep the media away from your house. The last thing you want is reporters camping out waiting for an interview. The best way to avoid that is to get the press conference over and done with. Maybe ask lottery officials to schedule the press conference for a particlar time/day where your profile/newsworthyness is less noticeable.
If you want to be tricky and somewhat anonymous hire an attorney that can create a trust for you.

Question about signing the back of your lottery ticket
If you want to claim in a state that doesn't allow regular anonymity but still can via a Trust or LLC then yeah you need to have the name of the Trust or LLC on the back of the ticket. What you also need to do is make some photocopies of the front and back of the ticket (along with whatever other means you want to use such as taking a photo of you with the ticket or whatever) then you place it somewhere it would be safe and secure without telling ANYONE where you placed it. You don't show the la

Feds freeze online poker champ's winnings
I can't believe the government is reaching into people's bank accounts like this, he said. For a lot of serious players this is their lifeblood. This is how they make ends meet.
I thought I had it bad and have been considering calling gambler's anonymous for the past few weeks. Here I am beating myself up for wasting 20-40 bucks on powerball scratch-offs every week praying for a miracle....but at least I don't depend on it to make ends meet. My lifeblood is my 9-5...not the lottery or

Ohio Mega Millions lottery winner claims prize anonymously
When it comes to blind trust the pain in the rear part is all of the legal/paperwork. It is a legal way of staying anonymous since the trust is claiming the ticket not the individual. Thus only the name of the trust is revealed and not the name of the actual player that played the ticket.
I think a blind trust requires a seperate TIN(Tax-ID #). As long as you name yourself as trustee....I think you can distribute funds from the trust as you wish.
Most people also like trusts since they are

50+ millions lotteries: The Divorce Reapers...
If I came to this website talking about a menage-a-trois hahaha I would be anonymous too. I have noticed most of the younger guys I come in contact with aren't looking for commitment LOL and I know too many married guys who are more than willing to mess around on the side.
As for the original post...... although I'm not married I am involved with someone I care very deeply about and although he's not the best looking guy(yes I could get cuter, younger etc without even winning the lotto) I wou

I have trouble understaind 'trust'!
I am a college-educated man and still have trouble understanding the concept of trust, especially when it's related to claiming a prize.
So you can go virtually anonymous. But can someone claim the prize as a corporation also? Some states allow that. I am not sure about CA.
What will happen if I designate my family members as co-beneficiaries? I became curious about this because someone mentioned that there is no percentage share in most state lotteries.
