Chasing a Number
Hello, my name is Truly Blessed and I am a number chaser. I've chased the same number since last fall. It has hit one time and I was out of town and missed it. Thank you for accepting me into the Number Chaser's Anonymous group. I look forward to taking steps to free me from this addiction. Thank you all.
Ha ha....You guys made my day. I could just say ditto to so much of what you have posted!!!

EZMoney's "I won $86 million" thread: Lessons learned
I get what you and Coin Toss are saying. I never thought about it like that. Imagining the vastness of the Internet. I was seeing this place as a little community, but it's not. It's the INTERNET. I was also seeing it as being able to share with you guys that I won while staying anonymous because you don't really know who I am.
Maybe I'll make that announcement here one day or maybe I won't. I have the win the Jackpot first!

Lottery-winning doorman gets the girl but might lose job
You can bet that when the money runs out, the leggy Swedish model will leg- it out of there too! It is crazy that lottery winners in the US are required to go public. People don't go public about the salaries, at least most don't. So why require people to declare publically a lottery win? Would she have fallen in love with him if he hadn't won?
The New York Lottery could declare that all new lottery winners will be allowed to choose anonymity - they could use that as a point of difference. I

Ottawa barber, client share $32M lottery win
A Blind Trust is a Trust that you put your money in where you don't want anyone to know that you won a large amount of money or a lottery.
You can put the Trust in you and your spouse Initials or a name made up of part of your last name and your wifes maiden name. A Lawyer will explain if you want a Blind Trust what you can and can't do when you put a name on the Trust. I've seen some with Initials of the family members.
This way relatives, people wanting money won't know you have it or ho

I changed my mind
You got three choices:
Move to a state where lottery winners are anonymous.
Play on lotteries where the first prize is so low your name will not get mentioned on the lottery companies website.
Don't buy lottery tickets at all.

Man quits lottery pool, then wins with Quick Pick
If the person tried to claim a share of the pool's winnings without having contributed to the ticket purchase there wouldn't be any question that they were trying to steal a share. How is it different when they take several shares by taking the numbers the pool was using? Sure, nobody has an exclusive right to the numbers, but we're not talking about playing the same numbers as a result of random coincidence or using some system that produced the same result. We're talking about deliberately usi

Jackpot hit...Moving or Not??
I'd want to stay in the state, both because I love it here and because there is NO state income tax. Since I wouldn't be a big spender on material things, the high sales tax here would be far less than income tax for me. Depending upon the extent to which I could keep the win anonymous, I'd stay in my present location until the real estate market picks up and I am able to get a good price for my view property. That could be two or more years. If anonymity became a problem, I'd likely use this as

$196M Ohio lottery winner trying to claim anonymously?
If you take an average number of (over) 100 lottery winners world wide, annually, and multiple that over the last 20 years, you come up with an astonishingly high number of people. That only counters the jackpot winners. The count of less then the jackpot is probably 100 or 200 times that. The number who are bothered are minimal. Remove those who blab and blab to all who will listen, and that number drops even higher. Remove those who chose to remain in high crime areas, or hang with criminal an
