When is the best time to buy tickets for major lotteries such as MM or PB?Reply
We do an office pool. When I have players that pay after I've bought tickets I buy quick picks with those funds closer to the deadline with better luck this way for some reason.

I don't know and I've wondered the same thing. I've checked Mega Millions, PowerBall, Rolling Cash etc. I have yet to see a jackpot's winning set of numbers come up more than once. Meaning once a winning set of numbers comes up my conclusion is that they take that combination out of the game pool.

So in my investigation, I found that when wheeled you wind up with about 20-36 numbers. You are looking at mixed 120 box numbers for your pool to pick from. Even if it works ( I backtested in NC and only found 1 hit in 50 games), it would seem to me you must employ a progressive/martingale like system to see any real profit, which could get real expensive, real quick. Tell us your long term betting method?

I used to play with that group as well, but then I began to suspect Myself of not cutting Me in on the winnings. I then confronted Myself about cheating Me. Of course there was total denial by Myself and this really upset Me. So Me, Myself, and I agreed to dissolve our pool, a decision I am completely in agreement with considering I certainly didn't trust Myself to allow Me to hold the tickets either.

The wicked witch of the west is increasing the price of a ticket and increasing the star (ball) pool. However, other news in the Land of Euro is the jackpot is capped for four draws (an increase and seems like quite a few) at about 157m and if not won rolled down to be shared. Also, a lot of people factor in those second tier prizes and this has better odds. High jackpots with numerous rollovers seem to be the norm when changes are made and can't say I like it.
