N.J. Lottery to end live broadcast of midday drawing
NJ is such a sess pool of corruption in government that they will resort to anything . That pretty much sums it up for A LOT of players in this state, and how they feel. Corzine is another puppet on the list of political JACK ASSES

Whats next Corzine? Only simulcast racing at the meadowlands b/c it's cheaper?? Video slots in the supermarkets??! NJ is such a sess pool of corruption in government that they will resort to anything to screw u out of money! Now we cant really be 100% confident in the pick 3 and pick4 games? Will the jersey cash 5 be next? This absolutely is killing an already low consumer confidence rate. What to go you idiot!!!!

$20M lawsuit against Hoosier Lottery gets class-action status
I'm not sure about diatribes , but I do recall a lot of frustration over the fact that there have been several corruption probes over the years, and that both the Hoosier Lottery and the state government are very secretive, and possibly covering up some very troubling information. Both he and Jim695 have been strong advocates over the years of cleaning up the Hoosier Lottery and politicians who have been less than honest with the public. Hats-off to them both for raising the issues and sticki

Tennessee Lottery computerized drawings under suspicion again
Touche. I was replying directly to CARBOB's comment about how he prefers ball drawings but thinks pre-tests throw off the stats. You can't have it both ways. If you think ball drawings represent random, then you can't complain that there are patterns that testing prevents from happening. Granted, it is possible that there could be corruption in any aspect of any business. That's what pre-tests are designed to thwart. However, using statistically insignifcant occurences as evidence th

Anonymity a Sheild for Not Being Hounded
Yeah, and look at the Wal-Mart family now! Nothing there to be proud of. Children bribing their way through school exams. Moving away from the old homestead and living in Condo's in Hawaii and Las Vegas. The old homestead is now a tourist attraction, charging an enterance fee. Used have huge signs saying, We sell American, buy American. Now they import most of their products from China. The only volume I heard was when they closed the family portrait book and buried it in the ground with the res

Contractors steal $70,000 in lottery prize money
It's important to note that the crime was stealing tickets, not manipulating the drawings. People are always at risk of falling prey to corruption, which is why Lotteries work so hard on security. It was probably an internal security investigation that discovered and stopped the theiving. It's the human element. When the payoffs are high, there will always be someone willing to take the risk. Having ball drawings alone isn't any extra protection from would-be thieves. Multiple layers

Give or take all
There must be something very wrong with me if I answer furious . There are so many reasons in the world to be furious about (injustice, abuse, corruption, etc), but to be furious at someone who decides to play the lottery (and wins) in order to be able to give more? Naah. I'll just hope that she/he will be wise in her/his giving, that it will bring good to the recipients and not bad. My answer- the first option.

OMG It's horrible.
And so it begins ... The next step in the process is to eliminate televised drawings. This should take place within the next six months; they'll say no one is watching anymore, and that it's more cost-effective to air a pre-recorded videotape of the animated graphics program pretending to draw balls. Next, since Tennessee already has mandated liability limits in place (Indiana is the ONLY lottery state WITHOUT mandated liability limits), look for your legislature to lower the maxi

Hoosier Lotto Will Be Won on August 11 ...
Uncle Jim: I'm not the giving up type. Like you, LosingJeff and I have taken our share of abuse from people who would rather not know the truth about the criminal behavior of their elected and appointed state officials. Even so, I remain convinced that people with criminal mentalities are prone to making mistakes. I'm counting on the fact that they have become so blatant about the money they're stealing, they don't even bother trying to hide it anymore. We've had weeks and weeks of ze
