Scratch off Odds?
But the thing is that most people don't know the odds. I work at a lottery retailer, and I know they are required to post the odds for scratch-off games-- but it's not like they make great pains to update them every time a new ticket comes out.I feel like I, in good consicence, have to steer people away from this ticket because of such poor odds and direct them towards something with better odds.I also really don't understand this idea of winning $2 off a $5 ticket. How exactly have you won

New breakthrough prediction system
Hyper, The odds on each ticket is 1/1000. If you buy 2 tickets or 10 tickets the odds are still 1/1000 on each ticket. They don't combine. I myself still don't see why people don't understand this. You are also correct on the powerball odds. Even 10,000 tickets doesn't reduce your odds very much.

Increasing Odds of Winning..SOS
Everyone here at the Lottery Post have been great as I learn more. I enjoy each of your insight, wisdom, experience and humor. I am really on a quest to determine what's the issue with odds reduction and how could odds reduction effect the lottery since it is random?Again, I value everyone's opinion and I certainly hope you will share your views.Donna

PA Super-6
Something else to consider, the Super 6 odds for an individual 6 # combination to hit is 119,877,472:1. But with your selection plus 2 quick picks reduces the odds to (only) 40 million.Purchase 3 selections of Powerball with odds of 120 million to 1 reduces your odds to 40 million.

Saturday PB last before longer odds
To MrcoolsoulUnder the old system the odds of winning 0/5+B were 1:73 and with changes the odds of winning 0/5+B are 1:70. The new odds are 1,712,304/120,526,770 and the old odds were 1,086,008/80,089,128. While there are more chances to win, there are also more chances to lose. Lottery spokemen alway try to put a postive spin on that fact.RJOh

Rich for Life
My .02 worthFrom lottoways out of Illinois.I play the scratch offs but not as much as I use to.Reason being is one day I started reading all the odds of winning on the back of the tickets. It was amazing .On some of the $ 500.00 $1,000 winning odds,it was better to play the pick three (1000 to 1) or even the pk4 at 10,000 to 1.I could see the odds being high on the larger jackpots, but even to win a smaller pot was just about imposible. So, I now play the pk3 more and scartch offs less.Check ou

Hey Visiondude, my main man.... :)
Your odds of matching 2 numbers in a 6/42 drawing is 1:6. Who would dumb enough to pay $40 on a $1 bet with those odds. In the Ohio's Buckeye5 which is a 5/37 lottery, the odds of matching 2 is 1:9 and that pays $1. If you do find a lottery that pay $40 on those kinds of odds, let us all know so we all can make some money before they go broke.RJOh

Odds
One more time. If there are 1,000,000 possible combinations and you buy one ticket, your odds of winning is 1,000,000:1.If you buy two tickets your odds are 1,000,000:2, not 500,000:1, buying the second ticket did not make 500,000 possible combinations dissapper. There are still 999,998 possible combinations left.

Now it's official
Actually the odds of me making it into the Major League Baseball and hitting a grand slam with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth in the 7th game of the World Series is zero because I'm not trying out to get into MLB. So Mega Millions' odds are slightly better. ;)As for sleeping with Britney? Hmm, I guess those odds are better seeing as though there are probably less men aged 20 - 25 in the US than 135million (the odds of winning BG MM).
