Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
I've wondered about that a lot reading the posts on the systems and this forum. A lot of people on the systems forum and some of the others are putting a lot of effort into trying to build systems capable of getting an edge on lottery operations. But a lot of those attempts rely on nuances easily corrected by the lottery administrations if the systems worked and the lottery administrations became aware of what was being done to beat them and how it was being done. A person would be almost fo

Missouri Senate to discuss privatizing state lottery
I get it. However, in practise, these moves seldom result in more revenue for the governments. What they do for sure is move some of the profits to the corporations and quite often to a few elected officials who support the move. Corporations, by charter, are mandated to make a profit for their shareholders. Any methods a private lottery employs to increase lottery sales would be better implemented by the public entity currently in charge. If necessary, PR firms stand ready and willing to con

Has a Lottery Clerk Ever Attempted to Rip You Off?
Thanks for telling your story Chella36. I think we're starting to see a pattern developing here. It looks like their favorite time to pull their crap is when they see you're distracted or talking to someone. Maybe if we get enough people recounting their stories here, the authorities might start doing something about it. I would love to see them run sting operations on an ongoing basis and start locking people up.

State Auditor Mary Taylor officially begins her review of the Ohio Lottery Commission next week, two months after lottery officials tried to close the door on her by arguing that the attention is unwarranted. Auditors and lottery officials are scheduled to sit together next Wednesday at kick-off meeting during which the approach and scope of the audit will be outlined. The decision to conduct a performance audit of the $2.4 billion state agency is unusual because such audits are typically

Cheated winner wants Texas Lottery to pay up
By thorough investigation I meant simply asking the retailer if they knew the winner. Joshi might not said he worked at that store but the store owner or manager would have confirmed it. Without any laws preventing clerks from buying and cashing tickets in their stores, the potential for fraud will always be there. Coin Toss was a dealer in Vegas and I believe they will confirm that under the Nevada state gambling codes, they can't gamble in the casino where they work or in any casino owned b
