What's with NY Sweet Million??
I need to say that I live in Raleigh, North Carolina, not New York. However, for family reasons, I travel to New York City several times a year (as I will go to Bronx to visit my relatives the upcoming Christmas). As I don't have too much time in New York, compared to residents, I usually save money to buy tickets strategically when I am present in New York City. I find the drawing game lottery in New York more various and attractive.
I am a fan of Sweet Million. Sweet Million is definitely a

Keeneland post times
For those following the Gillens, an direct update report:
EddessaKnight
~
We were fortunate to catch the first two scheduled plays at Keeneland that gave us the winning horse for the contest, with a $200.00 and a $1,000.00 prize. Originally, we were not going to post, but there has been interest from the sports media to follow us, since this is the first time, in years, that dad did a horse racing seminar that was based on the ones from the 1970's through 90's. For those of you who'v

Determination versus Free Will
it sure is a comforting place to be in life where i am going to only pursue something based in foreknowledge of the event.
in that vein, i am predestined if i am right about it.
but, i have still have free will to stay the course and flesh it out, or, i can pull up short and take a complete detour in the opposite direction, thereby cancelling out what would have been, had i stayed the course despite challenges or lengths of time.
i like anyone else guess at various forks in the road, an

Artificial Intelligence
bob790,
Most of your questions above are outside my areas of expertise. I am familiar with Shannon's analyses as they apply to changes in stock prices. However, believing that in the present, the probability of a past event is 1.0, I fail to see how his work would have much value applied to the classes of chaos/randomness produced by lottery ping pong ball machines or random number generators producing sequences with extremely long periods.
John Conover relies heavily on Shannon's work.

Scratch Off Strategy
I, along with other players, have been studying the scratch-off deal in terms of odds and winners. It seems that the odds are actually much better with these games especially with the top payouts. Problem is that the good paying tickets cost $10 and up which can add up if you don't get a reasonable winner after purchasing several tickets or so. Still, the idea of hitting big is a high possibility if you manage to get a good string of tickets.
Well, we're currently organizing a nice group of p

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
(WRONG!! it does matter see this is what I mean by you have no clue Random numbers over time do form patterns that are noticable by a skilled player
(TOTALLY WRONG!!! Random numbers over a LONG period of time will show patterns or what I CALL non-random activity yes it's a short window but once you open it your GREATLY increasing your chances of winning)
i would be more than honored for you to be the first to explain how that possibly happens, and for me to be the 1st to witness it in 8

Poll: Shared Jackpot PP/QP
A moment of clarity:
I do not want the RNG for the drawn winning numbers to be confused with a QP POOL 'Random' COMBINATION sales Generator.
Whether the draw is by computer or with balls does not matter in the point I am making. I am speaking of the sales of QP s from terminals. I remember when the sales info was a bit different and when the jackpot gets up there, it is news. To get the jackpot up there for stellar sales requires that nobody wins.
When you see draws producing MULTIPLE Q

Why do people play QP's?
nope, not contradictory at all.
for any person to say the can manipulate a lottery result in their favor, is completely untrue......unless like i alluded to......they had inside help .
much like that lottery movie lucky numbers with john travolta, where he arranged inside help .
other than that, the lottery is purely a random event, so long as it is conducted with security and integrity measures in place.
because they change machines and ball sets regularly, there isn't even a p

Praying?
most importantly, staying within the thread, i must address my position on prayer , before i answer your assertion that God doesn't care.
most peoples idea of prayer is waaaaaay off base. prayer ISN'T asking God for something (per se), as much as it is a RELATIONSHIP tool that facilitates what God is thinking about any given subject matter, and what He intends to do about the particular event/concern. people think for some reason that prayer is an avenue to get God to do what they want, and

Cointoss,
True Systems are not a belief but action based on whatever information one uses to make decisions. Not a whim, not a wish and based on facts like statistics which BTW is from the science of event observation. The Greeks used observation found in our modern scientific method do describe nature and events. They filled in the unknown with stories and superstition. So Mr. Modern man, why be subject to old wives tales and fables? You talk in absolutes about the topic yet it is purely BS.
