Does anyone here know what happened to Brad Duke?
Took a little digging, but I found this (Mountain Bike magazine - Jan/Feb 2009) Lottery Winner Brad Duke - Riding High He doesn't say how much money he's made or lost, but at least this article is only a year old.

:: So you won the 'Big One'::
I think I've read this article before if not something very similar to it. I would take the advise of looking for an accountant as well as financial adviser and lawyer. Of course I wouldn't disclose to them my new found millions and I would choose people I felt very comfortable with. Also I think you can get advise from any of these people for a fee without handing over your money. And definitely change the phone number as well as address!

You've won the lottery! Now what? Believe it or not, jackpot winners face both a pile of cash and a mountain of problematic decisions. View the practical to-do list in the article. You may want to keep it handy for the next time you strike it rich.

Lottery winner lost money after investing funds
Although I realize everyone is different I think his first mistake was to start giving some of the money away. In the article he states putting the bulk of his money in the stock market which was his second mistake. Anyone who knows anything about the stock market knows it's a risk. If he had done his homework he would have put the biggest chunk in safer investments and/or hired his financial team to start with. All in all I think he's still doing pretty good! Face it most 19 year olds wou

Lottery winner lost money after investing funds
Again...70% of lottery winners go bankrupt within 5 years of winnng the money? Another shocker is that the financial advisor quoted in the article said you'd do better to take the annuity then to take the lump sum - I've never heard that before. Please enlighten me.

Dual multi-state lottery sales may keep jackpots lower
Thanks for posting this article! I wasnt aware of the states that are going to commence the addition of the Large jackpot games. Its great if you are into choosing a game . I just am a dedicated Powerball player since that is how amy resident state started out. Will be nice to play mega from time to time though and not have to go one state over.... I fear though that my state (PA) will start the taxing of these wins since those will be high revenue for them then....they already are doing so o

Spain's Christmas lottery is still "El Gordo"
Two hundred Euros broken down over a year doesn't sound too bad to me. I'd probably buy a whole ticket, given the opportunity. It's funny how coincidences arise. As I read this article I remembered that I had a mother in law at one time that had the same name as the Spanish Lottery - El Gordo. Well, it wasn't actually her given name, it was more like a nickname that I gave her. I thought it was quaint and fitting; my wife at the time took offense. That woman had absolutely no sense of humor.

North Carolina 12/1 - 12/31
i was reading the article about the guy who put 20 bucks on 3851 and hit, he stays in Virginia, a neighbor state, the numbers do travel, gonna keep that one to the side. A couple of bucks (any) would b a nice box hit. just an idea to throw out there!

Arkansas Lottery begins Cash 3 game
With a brand new lottery you would think the suits would have taken the time to get it right. Players don't like computers. Players like the ball machines. Unfortunately, government bureaucrats never seem to be interested in what the players want. Good article Todd. I liked the reference to so called drawings. Maybe the truth in advertising law should be applied here. If it's not really a drawing you shouldn't be allowed to call it one. I think they should be required to call it a spinning or
