All multi-state lotto games
Yeah, I suppose if Powerball can have a lucky string of winners like they did the first three months of 2005, they could be the first to have a new record jackpot. However, I think it's more likely Mega Millions will see it first, since they don't put the brakes on rampant jackpot runs.

new single largest jackpot record holder
At this point, I think the 363 million jackpot, the North American jackpot record would probably stand. I think sales are dropping in both MM and PB, but MM is on the run thanks to CA joining them.

Mega Millions Sets A New Record
Cash Only,I do not know. I have combined all the Big Games results and did not differentiate while tracking the record rolls. I could go back through the history and determine but it is not worth the effort.Good luck,Jake

can powerball hit new high sept 3rd
Powerball got hit AGAIN for the eleventh time this year!! With PB changing the matrix at the end of the month, the game will take even longer for the pot to get to a record level as sales will drop off in response to the matrix change, like it did for Mega Millions in every state except California.

Largest single jackpot winner
It might only make up for the introduction of N. Carolina. Unless CT leaves it would just be a new large pool of players added so I wouldn't hold my breath for a record.

can powerball hit new high sept 3rd
The cap really is a bad rule but one Powerball doesn't have to worry about. The only record they can shoot for is how long the prize can stay under 100 million. Sales for a mega run (assuming that it will ever happen) that breaks 400 million will show just how stupid that rule is since it will limit potential sales the states gets.

Mega Millions Sets A New Record
I hope that MM keeps rolling and rolling. I hope that MM finally passes the North American Jackpot record at 363 million [annuity] with 1 ticket winning it all taking cash value in CA.

The end of one-sentence posts
Just for the record (and the ump-teenth time), my post was not aimed at people in the Pick 3 forum. There may be issues there (or no issues) -- I don't know -- but this is not aimed at that forum. If someone has concerns about the Pick 3 forum, please send them to me privately - to avoid hurting feelings.

California and Mega Millions
The Aug 5 draw was the first time California paid more than $2 for a 0+1 match (Mega ball only match). The payment was $3.The 5+0 match was a record $1.25 million with no winners. No states won the 5+0 match. The last time that happened was Nov 21, 2003.Good luck,Jake

Length of time playing lotteries!
It was also the last jackpot to break 300 million. So it's been 3 years so far without even breaking the 300 million barrier. Same year also had the all time record pot of 363 mil. by the Big Game.
