Winner sues Colorado Lottery 12 years after rigged drawing
Don't think he has much of a shot. They may come back and say the entire drawing was actually invalid due to the rigging, and that the guy's original winnings weren't even payable, and even move to try to recover those from him. I mean, that would be extreme, but I wouldn't be surprised, as it would serve to discourage players from attempting similar lawsuits, as I'm sure a plethora of additional are incoming from the Tipton mess...

Winner sues Colorado Lottery 12 years after rigged drawing
The Iowa Lottery already proved in court their employee, Eddie Tipton rigged several drawings so the only question a jury must decide is if the lottery is responsible for the actions of their employees.

Lottery rigging mastermind sentenced to 25 years in prison
Tipton has agreed to pay about $2.2 million in restitution, including $1.1 million to the Colorado lottery, $644,000 to the Oklahoma lottery, $391,000 to the Wisconsin lottery and $30,000 to the Kansas lottery.
When Judge Brad McCall asked him on Tuesday how he intended to repay the money, Tipton said, Initially, I really don't know.
He will get the money from the other 47 times he got by with it they still haven't found out about yet probably.
And how often would he have got by

Lottery rigging mastermind sentenced to 25 years in prison
While focusing on the criminal , let's not forget that the RNG system is flawed, which is what made this rigging possible, and tempted Tipton to exploit it.....and it's still flawed, no matter how many yrs they gave him...

Hot Lotto multi-state lottery game to end in October
I used to enjoy playing this game when they had a 5/39 + 1/19 matrix. That would have been pre 2012. Then they changed to the current matrix, more than tripling the odds of a JP win that ended my Hot Lotto playing days, even before the whole Tipton fiasco became publicly known. Hopefully whatever replacement game they come up with will be similar to the old matrix and NON RNG.

Serious Question? lottery pre-draw tests
I guess you all heard of Eddie Tipton. If they pre-test all drawings how was he able to manipulate the computer to spit out pre-selected numbers on a specific date? Wouldn't the pre-draws chew-up his numbers?

If the WIlottery conducts pre-draws, how was Tipton able to manipulate the system to pick certain numbers on a specific date? Wouldn't his numbers get chewed-up in the pre-draw? Somethings not right here.

Serious Question? lottery pre-draw tests
Don't think that's the reason. Rules of the game would prevent that. You might have some pissed-off people though. I wonder if Wisconsin had pre-draws when Eddie Tipton rigged the program. If so, did it help? Obviously not.

Lottery jackpot rigger's Iowa convictions dismissed
He was convicted in Iowa and appealed. The Iowa court dismissed one count because it was outside the SOL. The other count they reversed bc of jury instruction error and ordered a retrial. However, while the appeal was pending, Tipton pled guilty in Federal court and the Iowa prosecutors agreed to dismiss the Iowa charges because of his federal plea. He got away with nothing.
