Canadian woman too shocked to tell mother about $60 million Lotto Max jackpot
Do Canadian lottery winners have to right to remain anonymous? In Australia, lottery winners have the right to remain anonymous and the vast majority do so. Whenever there is a large jackpot win, general details of the winner are released, but the identity of winner is very very seldom published.

$1.5 billion Mega Millions winner explains how "Lottery Lawyer" Jason Kurland stole $83 million
No, the state lottery would be violating state law and their reputation would be ruined if they released the name of an anonymous winner. And courts allow anonymous names in legal proceedings in certain situations and that is protected as well.

VIDEO: Should you sign the back of your lottery ticket?
I'm wondering how the Billion dollar Mega Million winner was able to stay anonymous in Michigan. If they can stay anonymous everyone else who wins in Michigan should be able to also.

Arkansas bill would allow lottery winners to remain anonymous
I will never support anonymous lottery jackpots. You used my money to collect. How come I shouldn't know who you are. But I'm in Florida we don't do anonymous.

Delaware man "Spare Change" wins $1 million in Maryland Lottery
So 'Spare Change' lives in anonymous state and after good Karma with returning money in the lotto machine left my another customer. Then buys a winning ticket in another anonymous state! Good things happen to good people.

New Lottery Post feature adds up/down voting on individual forum posts
The stars rating seems to be more like how much a thread is liked or disliked where your new post rating system is a simple anonymous like or dislike. My only suggestion is either making the thread star rating anonymous and/or the same up or down as the post rating.

Update: Every US state lottery's COVID-19 response
With all anonymous prize claim options, the lottery always knows who you are when you claim the prize. The anonymous part is that they won't release your name to the public or force you to participate in a news conference. So the COVID-19 responses have no bearing or effect on claiming anonymously.

Washington woman wins state's biggest lottery jackpot in a decade
The Washington state lottery rules reference claiming via a trust, etc, to remain anonymous although the entities behind the trust can still be released...last time I checked. So why no reference to a trust? It is a non anonymous state for an individual.

I have a good idea on how to protect Lottery Winners! :D
I really like this idea a whole lot!! PLUS, people seem to forget that you can be somewhat anonymous by forming a trust before you claim your winnings through an attorney, then claim the winning AFTER the trust is setup, choose a name like you would for a business and thats it. You're anonymous
