I can't figure out why anyone is playing MM right now. PB will have a higher jackpot if it isn't won, the odds of winning are about the same, and for a 60% lower cost to play. If people are playing for the lower prizes, there are far better options where you could win that amount for better odds and lower cost. Is it habit? They just don't care? Same numbers they've been playing every drawing for 20 years and they can't stop?

I might be wrong, but I think that is a crock of information. They reduced the odds a bit and the tickets now cost 2.5 times as much as they used to. Or maybe 2.3 times as much is more accurate, since there were always some players that took the $3/ticket option and bought the megaplier. Based on that, the only thing that seems odds is having an increase in payouts fairly close to the increase in price/odds when they're only selling about 60% as many tickets. Oh and I just notice it's odds per $5 play (3 selections) I thought it was odds per selection. So a $20 win and free ticket on the same 5 dollar play is really good since that's odd of 1 out of N instead of 3 (selections) out of N. means it's more rare.
