I SMELL RIGGING
go ahead and match the odds so you too can win. Match the odds and you are a loser. One has to beat the odds pretty handily in order to come out ahead. The pay-outs relative to the odds are pretty poor. That's how the lottery commissions make money. Think of it as the vig.In fact, I read that the old neighborhood numbers game - which have been mostly put out of business by the lotteries -- used to have the best payouts.

Protest Changing the Big Game!
Ohio is adding the Biggame lottery to get more Ohioian playing lotteries in Ohio instead of neighboring states. Ohio SuperLottoPlus has odds of 1:451 of winning of at least $5, Biggame(Michigan)odds of 1:31 for $1 and Powerball(Indiana,Kentucky, West Virgina and soon Pennsylvania)odds of 1:35 for $5. The reconfigured Biggame will have to be competitive with Powerball to keep Ohioian in Ohio. The people that run the lotteries know that. The odds of winning the jackpot will get harder but the smal

November 2, 2011 POWERBALL WINNING NUMBERS: 12-14-34-39-46+ POWER BALL ( 36 )
Thrifty is right, each individual ticket (one line of numbers) is up against the very same odds, 175,000,000 to one.
There is one, and only one set of sinning numbers drawn - not one set of winning numbers drawn for each line played. That's why the fract

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
You ARE stating ChatGPT is wrong. That is EXACTLY what you are stating.
Weird, I thought you already agreed with my definition of doesn't necessarily.
You are disagreeing with ChatGPT, Todd and myself on how odds are determined.
We talked about your reading comprehension problem too and the only time I mentioned odds on that post is when I said, every ticket has odds of 1 in 26 of matching the powerball and getting a chance to beat odds of 1 in 11,688,054 to win the jackpot.

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Me: Playing 50 tickets only reduces the odds by 50 combinations. So now the odds are 292, 201, 288, anjdx that's a fact Jack.
Todd: Buying 50 tickets would make the odds 50 in 292,201,338, not 1 in 292,201,288.
Now, because we know that odds are nothing but fractions, the odds can be expressed as the fraction 50 / 292,201,338.

OK, let's say the lotteries printed the odds against different numbers of tickets hitting the jack

Reducing odds
Last night while putting together some numbers for the 2 Step and Tx Lotto threads I remembered something I read many years ago in BobP's Lotto Logix site. There is a wealth of information on there.
We all know the odds of any particular jackpot game are stupidly high. Like it or not, odds are what they are, and simply are the number of combinations in the game.
Using the Texas Lotto game as an example, it is a 6/54 jackpot game, with odds of 1 in 25,827,165 of winning the jackpot. There

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
I'm really liking the odds of the $2 - $10 new tickets.
$2 game - Has a top prize of $100k, and offers odds of 1-in-672 at winning $100. Those are pretty good odds.
$5 game - Has odds of 1-in-226 at winning $100. That's some of the best odds I've seen on a $5 ticket. Jackpot odds are MEH...
$10 game - Has the best odds at winning $100k out of any lottery game we've ever had. 1-in-400,800. That means, roughly 1 in every 6,680 books has a $100,000 winner in it. Jackpot odds

Mathematics and the Lottery
Hi
I use a math system based on the fact you can win any bet providing all the odds are covered; example in a 10 horse race bet on all 10 the profit however depends on the odds of the winning horse but the bet is won without being lucky!
In a 6 to 49 lottery [U.K] the odds are 14m/1 so the formula would be 14m planned entries x 1 game/14m = 1 win or the odds of a bet x games/odds = wins made without being lucky. However the odds for winning with 3-numbers is 57/1 so 57 planned entries x 1
