Winning: Reality -vs- fantasy
Hello, I am a first time poster here...but have been looking at this site off and on for a week or two now. Thanks to the anonymous nature of the internet..I have to confess something. It's slighlty embarrasing:I feel like I am actually going to win the powerball drawing. I just started buying tickets for about one and a half months. no more than 3 dollars at a time per bi-weekly drawing. But I feel like I am going to win and it feels as natural as me saying I am going to sleep tonight. Not a mat

so you've just won the lottery
1. Would you tell anyone you just hit it big?If I won a huge amount that would put me in the papers and news, I would do the anonymous trust. I am not totally against having people know I won, but I am against it for at least a year - until I get organized, moved with new phone number, have all the money and investments secure, have consulted with whoever I need to and have some idea of what the future will be. I don't want to get questions and begging until I'm ready. 2. What bank would you pic

possible to form a lottery club in mass?
I've done a little with lottery pools in MA. In short, it's possible, but a real pain.First off, you know how on the back of the ticket it's got all that legal mumbo jumbo about the official rules and administrative bulletins, etc? Well one of the rules is that you agree to have your photo taken for lottery promotional stuff. So you can't legally go the anonymous trust fund route.Second, only one person can claim the prize if you win. This doesn't mean only one person can own the ticket, just th

Mystery winner claims $7 million Ohio lottery jackpot

And second, do you think the winner will tell anyone once he or she gets the money? 1)I would assume that it would depend on the speed and expertise of your attorney remembering he/she will want to rack up some billable hours. Still the way I would go2) Speaking only for myself I would not. It just doesn't make

To all members:I would NOT recommend posting any copyrighted material on this site without first obtaining written permission from the author. Copyright infringement charges can be very expensive and time-consuming for both parties. In this case, though, they won't prosecute the anonymous author of the post; they'll come after Todd.I have never been refused permission to reprint or republish anything I've requested, provided I credit the original author somewhere in the text.It really doesn't ta

For some lottery winners jackpot is a 'nightmare'
I have always thought what I would do if I won. I think a lot of people assume that if they win the lottery that all their troubles are over. Not true. Winning the lottery should secure your financial future for retirement and a comfortable living. Pay a few bills and invest the rest. I know a couple that won $25,000.00 on a $2 scratch off. Within a few weeks, both were broke (from buying even more scratch offs and one was dead within 6 months. So winning is not always a good thing. If I
