What is your profit/ loss margin?
4 dollar wins and over a hundred in losses. It's a game with little at risk but very minimal chance for reward. However, the rewards are the greatest in this game even when the jackpots are at their starting point.

Got $300 to spend on FLORIDA Scratch-offs, what should I do ?
Hmm... Tough choice. I'd say option 4, or 5. Hitting a decent amount on a $10 ticket is nice. Maybe try the $10 Holiday Gifts ticket? Both of the Jackpots are still out there. If you're buying $20 tickets, perhaps maybe the $20 Gold Rush or $20 Flamingo Multiplier. Maybe even the $20 Lucky $200k a year for life ticket (which apparently still has jackpots remaining). If you go with option 1, I'd assume you will encounter many duds unless you hit a big one on the $2 ticke

How soon till the next $ Billion $ Jackpot?
I would have to agree with you it might take an extra draw to hit that billion mark, because this runs annuity to cash ratio (over 66%) is similar to last year's big pot. And it seems that these jackpots don't really start to take off until they cross that 300M mark.

How soon till the next $ Billion $ Jackpot?
Yesterday was the 11th straight no win draw. At this rate, we would get to a billion plus after another 30 draws or so. I would rather it not get there and have more people getting smaller jackpots. I know that is not what the lottery commission prefers.

How many tickets do you buy?
its $3 per week on PB and MM. i go halves with a buddy in usa. he spends the money, there, i buy tickets here. we try n stay in balance. he gets a bit of aussie action, i get a shot at the usa power ball jackpots. some times we buy more in a draw, like an advertised jackpot of $1.5B i think we blew an extra $12 on those draws.

How much do you all spend on lotteries?
Right now $10 per week on Mass Megabucks Doubler. When the JP for my favorite game, Tri State Megabucks, exceeds $2 million I'll abandon the Mass game and spend $20 per week on TSMB. Also if the Powerball or Mega Millions jackpots exceeds $500 million I'll spend $10 per draw on those games until the JP is won.

Why you might go bankrupt if your next-door neighbor wins the lottery
It's worth noting that this study does not deal with what most people here would consider large jackpots. It looks at Canadian provincial lotteries, with prizes ranging from C$1,000 to C$150,000. It deliberately excludes the big winners.

Billion Dollar Powerball winning number AGREES with Dr.Miracle's Theory
If the system works so well then why haven't you won any major jackpots? There's always a pattern....after of course the numbers are drawn.

How soon till the next $ Billion $ Jackpot?
With almost 1:300million odds, multiple billion dollar jackpots a year is certainly conceivable. I still haven't won so maybe the next billion dollar jackpot is for me :)

First lawsuit in state lottery-fixing scandal seeks millions
This suit is not about unclaimed jackpots....but about a prior winner , later voided, which reset the jackpot amount. The jackpot should have kept growing so I think this is a brilliant argument.
