Hi...I'm a new member here and I have a interest in the Sport of Kings. I ran a site back in '96/'97 and it was in the top 100 sites on the web. Domestic changes occurred and I couldn't keep up with it anymore but I may revive it again under a different name as others have taken the previous name now. Anyways, I will start a blog for those with an interest in horse racing...hope to see ya around!

Site downtime last nightReply
Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Things definitely improve when the site and server is operating smoothly. Eventually this kind of down-time will be a thing of the past. Among other things that are in the works, I will have triple-redundancy of the server, so that a web server can crash and nobody will notice a thing. It takes a lot of planning and development work, but hopefully by LP's 10th anniversary it will be a reality.

Thanks RJ. Just a little something I threw together last night. I PM'd Todd to see if he would like to host it here on LP, otherwise I'll decide if my web space will be decent for hosting the downloadable app. The only problem with my web space is that I am re-designing my site (and name) here shortly, since it's based on a half-built Flash application which I no longer develop in.

It's not designed for a regular web browser. If you use it on a cell phone, you will see the graphic is small, and that there is no delay at all using the site. It is instantaneous.
