As Fla. lottery sales slow, schools stand to lose
Tennesse should take heed of this news release of slower revenue. There was just a news article about tenn having a surplus in lottery money and looking to figure out what to do with it. Save it for the dry spell. Tenn could put the excess in interest bearing accts with the interest to go to school budget shorfalls.

N.J. mom-and-pop lottery retailers worried about competition
This is an interesting article. Usually retailers complain that they don't get a big enough cut (think Oklahoma) or that it costs more than they make. When threatened by a loss of business they might have a different take. I'm not surprised to see Lotteries branch out. It makes sense to spread the selling base and get into stores that won't be affected by the increasing price and decreasing sales of gasoline. I'd expect this to become a trend in all states, as long as they can work out the d

Man caught stealing from charity lottery
I gave this article a 5-star rating because I think it's a great explanation of how these independent lotteries and/or contests can be rigged behind the scenes. I wish these things would get more attention, because the people who spent the money have no chance of winning the prize. Also, the fact that a mere 20% of the proceeds go to the charity itself is staggering. Even the states give 50% of the proceeds to the worthy causes the lottery is setup to fund! Investigate any charity BEFORE y

David kills Goliath in Michigan will keep promise to friends!
Okay. It was the way you stated it. I just don't see the lottery doing this. I can see a lawyer creating an agreement that will take care of the distribution of money, but not the way you stated. I'm not a lawyer, but I know of no cases in FL where that has happened. If you say you know they do, so be it. No argument from me. If I were a lottery expert, I'd be very rich! Edit: I still think the IRS would question the arrangement if it was a last minute thought. The news article we are talkin

Another 'What would you do' discussion
This real lottery winner thinks different then me (a potential lottery winner). The metro man who won the $135-million Mega Millions jackpot Tuesday is quitting his job at Ford Motor Co. after 34 years and plans to reward some of the friends who have played the lottery with him in the past. I hope his friends don't get the idea he should split it equally with them. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080403/NEWS02/804030448

Lottery winner demonstrates the right way to claim a big jackpot
Original Post by ConstantlyB Now I feel like she's an LP FAMILY MEMBER if she's not a member she is indeed the spouse of a member. She has exhibited some strong LP family member traits ya'll. I thought the same thing when I read the article.

PA clerk-found not guilty. But was she?
Are you suggesting that every time she worked she won more than the cost of the tickets she played? There are only two choices for every shift during which she playedlottery tickets. She paid for the tickets she played or she didn't payfor them. Neither you or the linked article suggest that she didn't payfor them. The only suggestion is that she didn't pay for them until theend of her shift. Since the news story doesn't indicate that she wascharged, or even accused, of stealing tickets on an

'Most dangerous' sex offender wins $10M lottery jackpot
In fact, that would be a better law, that people like him can only get their winnings if they leave the US Huh? So you don't think children in other countries have the right to be protected? In other words, if someone won the Canadian Lottery or the Australian Lottery and was a child molester or a murderer, you'd be okay if that person moved next door to you? Maybe you didn't think about it, but this is a typical American response. American companies will ship substandard products to Third

Anybody try this system?
I have Paul Conner book Lotto Hidden Secrets. Is this the book you are refering to? If so save your money and go to www.lotto-logix.com click on articles and scroll down to Lottery Concepts Copyright 1994 by Robert Perkis. Because that's the entire book in one article, nothing was changed. I have the book because I collect lottery systems. When I got the e-book ,I knew I had seen it before somewhere. I don't know if Paul Conner bought the rights to the book or not, but if he did I don't think it
