I think Power ball want small guaranteed jackpots to start as their base and then jump up and keep growing and growing until someone wins this big jackpot. The world record is $656 million set by Mega Millions shared by 3 Mega Millions Jackpot winning tickets. Power ball holds the single winning ticket in Florida at $590.5 million. blackjack26241, I think you should play more Mega Millions ($1 per draw) instead of Power ball ($2 per draw) from now on.

My vote is State Lotto in terms of their jackpot. If it's the real jackpots, I go for the Mega Millions ($1 per draw) instead of Power ball ($2 per draw).

I read the stats. I always play the top numbers in MM PB. I have won a lot more since then. For example,for the month of September I hit the MM 6 times. They were all tiny jackpots but I did win.

These politicians are losing money by having two national lotteries. If they ever think to combine them they would make more money. They would have more huge jackpots. Would you dilute down the money and talent in the nfl, nba, or mlb by having two leagues for each? They could also get more frenzy jackpots by going to a single hopper of 1 thru 99 balls. They may have to draw 6 or 7 balls out of that hopper to calculate the correct odds but the point is to have less chance for birthday bal

When you win a big jackpot, the world is your oyster. Why would you then want to live in only one country? I'll make the States my base, but you can find me in any part of the world that my little heart desires. That's what jackpots are for.

With MM jackpot being $200M, probably all the states with MM are seeing an increase in ticket sales. With the recent PB win in spite of its higher odds, players are learning jackpots can be won any time and if they are waiting for that half billion dollars jackpot to buy a ticket they may have a long wait.

I think they should leave the odds as is and go back down to a dollar per play. Starting jackpots will have to go down as well. We will eventually see at least a $700+ million jackpot.

If both games continue to have drawings with no million dollars winner then it going to be obvious to most players that there no advantage in buying more than a few tickets for either game regardless of the jackpot size which will lessen the chance of there being a ticket buying frenzy until their jackpots reach as least a half billion dollars.

On a slightly different topic, however it is Powerball. I noticed that it went over $100 million and still only went up to $110 million. One LP poster wrote it would go up quite a bit once it hit $100 million. My fears came to be and unfortunately I was correct. Make it twice as hard to win the big one and still trickle the jackpots upwards.
