How are ball drawings better than computer drawings?
Just look at the vtracs. For ball drawings a double vtrac ex: 332 will usually repeat or come as 223..with computer drawings it doesnt. Also with ball drawings I found numbers that come before a triple hits..doesnt work with computerized drawings.

What do you really think the lottery doesn't have figured out?
Computerized drawings, in my opinion, are a lot less fun to watch than ball drawings. I like watching the balls fly up and down in the machines.

Missouri Lottery gives inside view of computerized drawings
Includes video report
For years, the Missouri Lottery conducted its daily drawings using mechanical ball machines.
In 2004, the lottery replaced its drawing equipment with a computerized drawing system that generates the winning numbers with a Random Number Generator (RNG) a computer program that instantly produces random numbers.
Several other states have switched to a computerized drawing system, but the concept has not swept through all the states, perhaps due to player pushback.

What Are Your Personal Feelings On Computers?
I would welcome computerized drawings in NC. At least we will get the traveling numbers.

What Are Your Personal Feelings On Computers?
I remember when DC switched to computers in 2004. I did not like the computerized drawings at all. I found it visually unappealing, and I preferred watching the balls flying around in the machines. That being said, I prefer drawings with balls.

Live drawing fluke puts Maryland lottery machine maker in spotlight
I have never won anything on any computerized drawing anyplace, but I like the idea that in one State you can choose to play the computerized OR the ball-drawings.
In which state can you choose which drawing you prefer and how do you do it? In most states you can only choose to play or choose not play at all if they have computerized drawings.

Live drawing fluke puts Maryland lottery machine maker in spotlight
I like this news story because it provides a great, visual distinction between real lottery drawings (like the Florida Lottery's) and computerized drawings that are used in some states.
When there is a problem or glitch with a real drawing, everyone can see it -- the drawing hostess, the security staff, and even YOU, watching at home.
If this was a computerized drawing and a problem occured, guess what would happen. Nothing. You would never know about the problem and, judging from history,

Draw Results Delayed for Idaho games...
I could never figure when states go to computerized drawings, they claim they save money by not having to show them on TV. But if it was the cost of showing live ball drawings on TV that's the problem why can't they continue live ball drawings with out showing them on TV but allow a select group of the public to observe them where ever they happen? Then when they had a problem, the problem and its fix would be transparent to the average person.
