I'm not assuming. The lottery officials whole push for increasing tickets to $5 was because they wanted bigger jackpots more frequently. This poll isn't assuming it will go to a billion during THIS run. It's a poll about when it does have another run to a billion, how many weeks will that take. Ask yourself one thing. Can the Powers-that-be running the MM keep their word on the $50 Million restart ?? In the fall of 2017 when the matrix change came and we were promised the starting jackpots of $40 Million . Remember the last restart at $40 Million ? 2-14-2020 The blame on Covid, then that subsides 2 years ago...2 YEARS...and not even 1 return to $40 Million ?? I for one, do NOT trust these people and will keep my options open in other opportunities in the games of chance .

It's a moot point now as both MM PB are about the same again. MM: $96M/$42.2M/$26.628 PB: $100M/$44.8/$28.266 So yes, something was off with the numbers I listed in the first post. The difference between the cash out after taxes for the two posted jackpots is now about the same as it was for $14M as it is for $4M.

I think that's a good thing, because now we are able to see what 3 draws a week does for PB and what the new pricing and game structure does for MM. On Sunday April 13th will be a good day to see what one week does to both jackpots. Then the next Sunday and the next until one is won. If PB stays ahead of MM that will say something about MM sales and if MM stays ahead of PB, that too will say something about the new pricing. My thoughts

I'm playing 5 lines tonight. I normally buy 1 line until the cash jackpot hits $200million then I buy an extra ticket for every $100million of cash value. I decided to buy 5 lines tonight to give the old MegaMillions a good send off and who knows, maybe be the first jackpot winner in Louisiana!
