Pennsylvania woman accused of stealing over $100,000 worth of lottery tickets from one store
$2,000.00 or more is felony theft in PA. If the value of the property taken is $2,000.00 or more, the offender faces felony charges.
A good attorney could argue only the winning tickets have value, the losers are worth zero. If she won less then 2K on any given day she should only be charged with a misdemeanor like the shoplifters are.

Florida man arrested after buying $31,000 worth of lottery tickets using company credit card
I doubt they will take him to court for that small amount. They could dock his pay if he still works there or get a lien on his home or future new employer salary perhaps. A lien would need a court order but it would far less visible to the general public.
Most companies have theft insurance policies as well.
I think he would owe taxes on that money.

Ohio Lottery halts some prize payouts due to Christmas Eve cybersecurity incident
If you had a debit card on record with the Ohio lottery, I would lock/freeze your debit card, and get a new card number, lest you lose all the money in your bank account.
Social Security numbers leaks facilitate ID theft.
Concerning the hackers changing the draw picks to their numbers -- I predict the hackers would get caught if they tried to collect a prize $600.
All those valid active debit card numbers are way more valuable to the thieves than collecting a lotto prize.

Massachusetts store clerk indicted after stealing lottery ticket worth $3 million from customer
I just read the official rules for Florida Fantasy5, Florida Lotto, and Florida's Jackpot Triple Play. None of those three documents contain the words bearer instrument . Nor does The Florida Lottery recommend signing the back of the ticket in the official rules. That's printed on the back of the ticket.
Signing a ticket is the best and only way to protect yourself from loss or theft of your ticket. If you signed your ticket, lost it, reported to the lottery that you lost it and won a large

800 million dollars
I know many people don't like the fact that they have to pay a good chunk of money to financial experts . After all nothing says the financial adviser you hire is very good at what they do. There excellent advisers with a good track record, and there are advisers that out and out stink at what they do.
All of the above said, there are some things in life where going it alone or doing it by yourself is a bad idea. If your identity is stolen you're far better off with a company such as LifeLoc

Which lp member did you think would best handle a major jp win ?
Very true.... no financial adviser has a perfect track record, they all have managed to lose the clients money at some point during their careers. Investing whether done by a financial adviser, or if you do it yourself, involves risk of capital. The best you can hope for is that you have an adviser who is honest, knows what they're doing, and has a good track record. It's on the investor to find that particular type of adviser, and to be capable of understanding exactly what it is the adviser is

Oh, those pesky leading 0's!
Probably tried to be too clever using a fictional character whose name looks like Zero but his mortal enemies are like the Knights Templar, Knights of Odessa, Knights of Columbus, or something like that. Should have used the obvious character, Zero from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
Yep, by using Vtracs, zero is low and even.

Wouldn't common sense tell you to wait for the check before speaking?
What if she had already received the money? I am not following the obsession with her acknowledging the setup and speaking before she got the check. You seem to be suggesting she should have waited for the money ....which was never coming to her...and fled. Common sense to wait for the money before speaking. No. It was irrelevant.
What difference would it have made? She had already committed the criminal act. Her statements were not needed at this point to prove the theft since she had alrea
