Lottery veterans question Tennessee family's behavior before claiming Powerball winnings
Tennessee Lottery rules also permit jackpots to be claimed in the name of a trust for more privacy. The Tennessee Lottery doesn't have an information on claiming in the name of a trust. Can the winner of a large Lottery prize remain anonymous? It is the policy of the Tennessee Lottery to treat such information as a public record. The Lottery will therefore disclose the name, home state and home town of winners if a request is received for such information. Tennessee Lotte

TN Powerball Winners on the Today Show
Idiots...what kind of lawyer did they hire? One who wants 15 minutes of fame. What a sharp attorney! He is sure to get his share of the pie. Unbelievable. The threat to the security of this couple before the ticket has even been authorized is unreal. People are murdered for $100. What would someone do for $500,000,000? Unbelievable. They should have taken time and created an LLC and claimed it that way. They have plenty of time to get things set up and still remain anonymous until the time comes

Anonymity for this huge jackpot. Let's settle this right here and now.
Well I hate to burst your bubble but POP Let's not forget it was a lawyer who tried to claim the Tipton ticket. He wanted to claim on behalf of his client , he said, so his client could remain anonymous. Anyone will do almost anything for the right amount of money. What's being kicked out of the bar association if you're promised more than you'd make practicing law in a lifetime? Watch a documentary called Unraveled. About a lawyer who impersonated a past client, using the man's name and

Anonymity for this huge jackpot. Let's settle this right here and now.
If you live in a state where you can't remain anonymous, can you wear a disguise at press time? I have seen some of the winner's pictures on Powerball and Megamillions website in the winner's stories section where they are holding the presentation check up in front of their face. This is the first jackpot of its size, but with the new odds I bet it wont be the last. With billion dollar jackpots more commonplace, the idea of someone wining this much will fade like it did after someone won t

Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich to answer lottery player questions live Monday evening
Lottery Post will host event at 8pm EST By Todd Northrop Lottery players from across the United States and around the world will have the chance Monday evening to ask questions about the Eddie Tipton computerized drawing rigging scandal to Terry Rich, Iowa Lottery CEO, who was instrumental in discovering the crime. In December 2010 a Hot Lotto jackpot worth $16 million was won on a ticket purchased in Iowa. One year later, with just two hours to spare before the ticket was to expire, a

Wouldn't be shocking if a person won tonights PB via TheLotter
Thanks for all the non-xenophobic answers in here. Tourists come to the US all the time and create revenue and tax income that they don't profit from. Who doesn't buy a ticket on a vacation for 1$? What about Las Vegas? It runs on foreign money, I rarely hear complaining about foreigners winning in Las Vegas. Many people commute cross border or go on short business trips, why wouldn't a Canadian buy a ticket on a day trip? Why wouldn't an American buy a Euromillions ticket on a layover in

Vending Machines
Here in North Carolina, we can buy lottery tickets - both ticketed and scratch-offs - from vending machines. Some stores make you validate your age by scanning your driver's license before taking money. Other ones just let you put the money directly in. My question is: if I use the vending machine that needs to scan my driver's license - does it retain that information/send it to the lottery commission? If I purchase the winning Powerball ticket from one, I'd rather stay as anonymous as possi

Some on welfare bet big on Maine lottery in pursuit of life-changing win
May Amanda Clayton rest in peace in Michigan. On September 11, 2011, she won one million dollars. She did not tell the States' Welfare Department. She was caught and sentenced by a Judge to nine months probation. She did have the option to remain anonymous since she did not win a Jackpot prize like Mega Millions or Power Ball. She did the grip and grin photo shoot. The press discovered her collecting state welfare money after her win. Twenty-five year old Amanda died from a drug ov

A VERY serious topic.
I think what caused Jack Whittaker's problems was he started thinking since he had all that money, he could do whatever he wanted. According to Wikipedia, when asked why he carried so much cash around, he responded Because I can. I also found a quote from him on azquotes.com that he also once said It doesn't bother me because I can tell everyone to kiss off. No matter how much money you have, that sort of attitude doesn't work. Treating people badly will always come back at you and he learned it

I think Jack Whittiker's problems were 99% his own fault. If you broadcast that you carry suitcases full of cash which you leave in your car while you get plastered at strip joints, well of course you're gonna need bodyguards. Based just on the sketch you gave us, I agree with Tia. Help your dad. Continue to ignore the family you're not close to. I think you can stay anonymous in SC can't you? I'm not close to any of my family either. Can't even call them family anymore with a straight fac
