If you were close, your story was legit, and you actually worked, i would have no problem helping out. It would'nt be free though. You would have to wash my cars or clean the pool.

I offered to buy someones pool lottery tickets that were purchased for the wrong game. Would that count as benevolence on my part, or perhaps greed and a desire to capitalize off of someones mistake?

Work place lottery pools are mostly social clubs with players not always committed to playing every drawings hence they seldom have written agreements. As long a they are only winning small prizes they work fine, it's only on those rare occasions when the pool or a member wins a large prize that a dispute happens.

It is interesting that the salon crew only got a bit of their fair share. Usually it ends up the opposite in these pool situations. I wonder if the winner had some degree of evidence she purchased the tickets separately.

Yeah , your right , here in New York , a box hit is a number in any order also we have the pick 5 which does the same , there is no straight to win , just get most of the numbers box and you win anywhere from 500 dollars or if you hit all numbers you win whatever the pool of money is that night which is usually 5000 to 50,000 dollars , it's the most played game here in NY.

Our pool spends $5 per person twice a week between PB and Mo lotto. We spend $140 to $250 between the 2 games depending on the size of the jackpot
