Online gambling executive arrested on state charges
Yes!!! That is the first thing I thought of when I saw this article also.
Shame on our stupid State Department for allowing that Hitler-like person into this country. What is wrong with those people??
If a couple of terrorist-supporting countries don't like us locking out certain individuals from coming to the United Nations, then move the United Nations the h*** out of here!!!!

oklahoma cash 5 is a joke
The Cash 5 game also has not received as much publicity as the Pick 3 and Powerball did when they began in Oklahoma, especially in some of the more rural areas. The same newspaper that carried the Did the Oklahoma Lottery Break Its Promise? editorial (Lottery Post, August 18, 2006) has not carried the results of the first two Cash 5 drawings, and as of September 10 have not published any story or article about the Cash 5.
Both the Tulsa World and The Daily Oklahoman (Oklahoma City) publish

N.C. Powerball lottery winners worry what their preacher will think
I have a different take on this from nearly everyone. Aside from the incident of the church returning their donation, this article is rather short on specifics. We see that they have been shunned and ridiculed with no mention of how they were shunned and ridiculed.
I might be playing armchair psychiatrist here, but maybe they feel guilty about playing and winning (from what I hear, this is common among lottery winners, even if it's not justified) and are reading too much into the way o

cool article on luck
I dont think the point of the article was that people dont get lucky sometimes - as is the case with QP winners - but that to some extent one creates ones own luck in life.
The one and only time I went to the track I won big on the very first bet I placed. Before each race they walk the horses around a circle so you can check them out. As one horse walked by me it looked right at me and sorta nodded (i know sounds kinda weird..but my two rather conservative friends saw it as well). Of course

cool article on luck
The author of that article needs to spend some time around race tracks, sports books, casinos, and lottery players.
Hey professor = Quick Pick Jackpot winner, explain that one.

Mega Millions Not Rigged? Please
Sorry, I thought you were stating as a fact rather than as your opinion the same stores repeatedly sell winning jackpot tickets .
I read the LP News article too. https://www.lotterypost.com/news/139681.htm
The winning ticket was sold at Ma and Pa's Grocery Express in Fond du Lac along the so-called Miracle Mile. South Main Street earned that nickname because several stores there sold multimillion-dollar tickets in the 1990s.
I took this to mean that other stores in that area had

N.C. Lottery to roll out 3 new games in October
Quote from the article: Even before going on sale, the Hurricanes scratch-off tickets have raised criticism about whether the game could lure children to play...
Why would any reasonable person believe that?Children aren't allowed to play. You must be 18 to buy a ticket. If people can't figure out what a lottery is by the age of eighteen then they don't need to be allowed to do a lot of things, like drive a car.
I get so tired of all these idiots who try to protect the children from t

Do You Own Gail Howard Software?
Years ago when I got my first IBM compatible computer a Tandy1000, someone gave me their copy of a Gail Howard program on a 5 floppy written in Basic and saved in the protective mode so it couldn't be listed and viewed.
I later read an article in BYE magazine on how to remove the protective mode and listed that program and saw the most sophisticated routine in it was a function of RND. As a novice Basic programmer I could have written the same program so I never had any desire to buy any

N.C. store clerk accused of stealing woman's winning lottery ticket
I agree, Emily. Maybe I'm not reading this story correctly, but I thought that's what she did and then the clerk told her she was wrong. Leaving the store was probably not a good idea, and she should have asked for her ticket back right away. Obviously, since she returned to complain and the police got involved, there must be something missing from this article. People always say it's best to get tickets at a local convenience store, but this is one reason I prefer a place like Publix. If you ha
