New Jersey snatches the Powerball Jackpot at 40million! Lol
I knew from the very beginning when they went to $2, this current format was a gamble. After all, it usually takes seven draws without a winner for the jackpot to be fully funded under the new minimum jackpot rules. The jackpots could have opened at $30 million (still with $10 million minimum increases), and the last two jackpot wins STILL would have been underfunded!

NY takes home the $59million Mega Millions Jackpot
Thinking higher jackpots is just that : a thought. It's similar to electing political leaders- they say one thing do another. Long story short: Someone has to Win. I seriously doubt any of these winners are going to complain about the jackpot not being a billion when they win it.They grateful that they beat the odds.

New York real estate broker claims $126M Mega Millions jackpot
Why are the winners of these jackpots always in small dinky towns you never heard of. That's why I feel it's rigged! The larger cities don't stand a chance.

Now that both PB and MM have ~$40M jackpots
As I predicted PB sold just over $24M worth of tickets last night, if this trend continues MM and PB jackpots could be close for another roll or two which would make MM tickets more attractive IMHO.

Does anyone know if there is one central mainframe for pb and mm?
Thanks Raven62, I could be totally wrong but, may-be if there was only one mainframe that covered all states, maybe pb and mm would have a variety of states winning the jackpots. Instead of looking at how many tickets sold in a state.

Jackpot Histories
I have now purchased one Fantasy 5, one Pick 4 and one Pick 3 -- all quick picks and I am anxiously waiting for my jackpots. Again, thanks!

States that win too often should be punished.
Wait a minute! Is the author of this thread the infamous JJ? He built his reputation on LP by declaring jackpots are too easy to win. Now he is calling on Congress to pass a Whiner's law?

Now that both PB and MM have ~$40M jackpots
I'm buying one ticket for MM and one ticket for PB. I always megaply MM, and this time I'm going to powerplay PB, which I rarely do, but since the jackpots are not very high, I'll shoot for second prize of at least $2 million.

Wisconsin Badger5 $$
I like the odds on this one too... but I think I will wait for 6 figure jackpots. Seems to happen roughly 2 or 3 times a month, which is fine by me. The second prize of $50 is pretty sad though. To be 1 number off of the jackpot and only get $50 to show for it would really suck.

is it better to play the Powerball or Megamillions?
When I play PB or MM I just buy 1 ticket (the exception being over 300 million for a jacket when I buy 2 tickets). Even if you bought 15 MM tickets and had all of the mega ball numbers you would still have to get the 5 numbers out of a 75 number matrix and that is impossible to win the jackpot (with the exception of the lucky few who have won jackpots).
