bigwinna,While California Fantasy5 is similar to NY Take5, I would use the history of the California game to adjust the parameters to pick its numbers. Right now I'm just picking numbers for the games I play in Ohio, but as I posted earlier, I thought I would try NY and see what happens. Since I use Lotto Pro, I can download the history of any lottery and modify the file to work in the program I use to pick my numbers, so if I ever gets something that works well, I may try picking numbers for

richgal,Virgina Cash5 is a 5/34 game and New York Take5 is a 5/39 game. I loaded the 2500 plus NY records into my Buckeye5 (5/37) program to pick those numbers, I would have to load the Virgina records to pick numbers for Virgina. I picked some numbers for Buckeye5 yesterday and thought I would apply similar parameters to Take5 and see what happens.RJOh

Tonight's winning numbers were 09-17-23-29-33, so if you only played set #4 you matched 3 once and two six times for $16 for $10. I matched 2 twice for $2 for $10. 23 hadn't hit in the last 15 drawings.RJOh

Actually when you play Powerball, you are playing 2 lotteries, one is 1:42 and the other is 1:2,869,685. Playing all 42 powerballs gives you 42:42 or 1:1 odds of picking the the right power ball and 42:2,869,685 of picking the right combination of five, but the odds of picking both the right powerball and the right combination of five together is 42:120,526,770 or 1:2,869,685.RJOh

Also, buying one ticket for 30 games rather than buying three tickets for 10 games gives you a better feeling because you are in the chase a lot longer (you can't win unless you play). It's not just about winning, if you're just spending $1 per game, it's about dreaming and hoping that you'll get lucky and that feels good, the longer the better.RJOh

Best way to predict numbersReply
When looking at the last 150 draws of MegaMillions 198 drawings, 75 of these drawings have had all 5 main numbers hit in the previous 21 drawings or less, so I've look at all the previous 21 drawings of the 150 drawings and compared them as short term trends to pick the most common trend amoug them to apply to my next picks, so I have a set of parameters to cover both trends when picking my numbers. Both sets of parameters cover 50%+ of the history.RJOh

If Ohio returns to a 6/44 game, I have the old data base from 02/19/86 to 01/21/89, so I have the history to start picking winners right away. It was 50 a play in those days and I didn't know what I know now. In those days adding more numbers was suppose to improve the game now going back and charging more is suppose to improve the game.RJOh
