NH Powerball lottery winner sues for anonymity
Justxploring, a member with an exceptional sense of humor and who hasn't posted for a long time, once joked about someone winning a jackpot, suing to remain anonymous, and becoming famous for winning the case to remain anonymous.

NH Powerball lottery winner sues for anonymity
If you win or buy a lottery ticket sign your ticket and take pictures of it . Now if you want to be anonymous later Do Not Print Your Name. If you use your printed name as your signature and you want to be anonymous at same time you need a psychiatrist lol

Georgia group fights to prevent lottery winners from claiming anonymously
In one state, don't they release the names after a year? I think that would be a nice compromise. Just bump up the 1 year release for people winning 2-3 Million+ because they can afford to move and buy new property with a LLC to keep anonymous, and still stay out of the spotlight. For people less then that dollar amount, let them stay anonymous for 5 years.

Texas Lottery Goes Anonymous
Effective January 1st, 2018 the Texas Lottery now officially allows winners of $1 Million Dollar payout prizes or greater to remain anonymous. This includes Scratch Tickets, Texas 2 Step, Texas Lotto, PB and MM. While this is a great victory for players, there is one little note that should also be kept in mind. Should a winner want to claim their prize through the annuity method, then after 30 days the lottery commission can release their name. If you go to the website and look on the right han

Scammers using social media accounts claiming to be lottery winner Mavis Wanczyk
While I believe in being able to remain anonymous, the state does NOT FORCE you to give your name or other information. You CHOOSE to play and those are the rules. If one truly wants to remain anonymous in a state that does not allow it, one should simply NOT PLAY.

Anyone else hate that some states won't let winners remain anonymous?
This is a topic that has interested me and one I feel other people on this forum might be in agreement with me on this. I sometimes play the lottery and like most people I do think about the possibility of winning one of the bigger jackpots even though the chances of winning are extremely low. One thing I cannot wrap my mind around is the fact that in nearly every other country in the world lottery winners are allowed to remain anonymous for the obvious safety reasons. Unfortunately in Americ

Illinois lottery players may lose Powerball and Mega Millions at the end of June
I contacted Hoosier Lotto. Can claim as a LLC to try and remain anonymous but there is no true way to remain anonymous. I tried to upload a screen shot of their reply but didn't know how.

4 - Million Dollar Prize Winners with PowerPlay from Last Night's PB in Puerto Rico?
Yes winners in Puerto Rico can stay anonymous. Shockingly, there were two Puerto Rico Powerball jackpot winners in 2015, the year after the island started the game. Both have remained anonymous. Puerto Rico has a lot of crime. There is no benefit in going public, although the lottery commission might tell us if one person or more people purchased those three tickets at the one location.

$83M Mega Millions jackpot claimed in Georgia
I think you misread what I wrote. She never claimed that SC didn't allow any of its winners to remain anonymous, she simply said that remaining anonymous if the winner is out of state meant first establishing a residency. Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't. Or maybe laws changed since then. At the time I told her that it was a small price to pay to remain anonymous. Now I don't care that much. I'd very much like to remain anonymous, but if I can't, or someone digs up my identity, I don't much c
