N.M. Lottery introduces first joint lottery/tribal casino game
There is even a Santa Ana wind.Likely so, but you don't whiff it much inside the Santa Ana Star Casino. Not enough Santa Anas to make wind enough to fill the place.Surely am pleased, I am, to see NM, with a State Government I still believe (even after reading the TN Alert thread) needs not bow second-best to any other State for corruption, skulduggery and brassy high-handedness, teaming up with a tribal casino to create a lottery......They're probably auctioning off the algorithms off the back

Bulger victims seek share of lottery jackpot
This was a big scandal in Massachusetts - Whitey's brother was notoriously corrupt head of the state senate Billy Bulger. Whitey was also in cahoots with notoriously corrupt Boston FBI office and everyone wondered what sort of fix was in for mass murderer Whitey to get so lucky . Not the kind of publicity the MA Lottery really wanted. If you want another argument for telling no one that you won, here it is - the winner should have quietly collected his money and got the hell of town away from

is powerball rigged
There are very few things left in this world that I believe are totally honest and untouched by the fingers of corruption. As a born skeptic, I am leery of most politicians, lobbyists, the medical and pharmaceutical community, the insurance industry, the prices charged by most dentists, lawyers, and funeral directors ...and why the cost of college tuition is rising much faster than the rate of inflation. Why is that; and where do all those tuition increases go? Having said this, there is one thi

Gambling casinos on TX + other states.
I'm generally in favor of ending the casino monopoly on table game gambling and the governmental monopoly on lotteries. The case for forbidding gambling wasn't a good one, perhaps, back when it was illegal everywhere except Las Vegas and there were no governmental lotteries. It was done in the guise of protecting the morality of the citizenry, which it didn't succeed in doing, which was a misguided and hypocritical aim, but was at least, consistent. Now it is a complete farce. The Native Amer

indiana lottery corruption
It's one thing to say they just aren't good at their job. It's quite another to be actually corrupt though. Sure I could say that we have many elections officials in King County that are corrupt (Seattle). But they aren't stealing money just elections. The only real corruption a lottery official could have is to get kickbacks for contracts such as with Gametech or rigging a game. I would really doubt any officals would rig a game because the odds of getting caught would be too high. If they get

Indiana legislator attacks computerized lottery drawings

rigged balls.....
Hey, don't get me wrong. I like conspiracy theories as much as the next guy. But usually a conspiracy theory is backed up by some facts, not just allegations.Have lotteries been rigged before? Of course they have. The PA pick 3 was rigged for one draw years ago. The people got busted and went to jail. Big deal. There are corrupt people in all aspects of society. Does that make society corrupt? No, society punishes corruption because most of society and its institutions are not corrupt.M
