will you play the new $5 mega millions?
I'm sure there's a whole lot more to this price increase than they're telling us. I know that both MM and PB have been spoiled by 3+years of very high interest rates that have lined their pockets with record profits, as the cash value of jackpots has hit all-time lows.
Purely speculation on my part, but I'm guessing that one of two things happened- either, A) MM wanted to go to thrice-weekly drawings like PB, bit PB wouldn't give up Mondays, thereby forcing MM to draw on 2 days in a row, or

will you play the new $5 mega millions?
Not sure if any lottery has ever lowered a ticket price.
The closest thing I'm aware of is that, IIRC, NY briefly offered Lotto 3 times a week and then reverted back to the usual twice a week. I don't know if it was related to effectively raising the price by 50% to play for a week reducing sales, but I think it definitely qualifies as stepping back from a new and improved game.
I can't wait to see what the cash option percentage is.
If you knew how the jackpots work you'd know tha

Lottery couriers plead with Texas Lottery Commission in last-ditch effort
The bad actors are making the good actors pay for their sins as well.
Right, and it is wrong for lawmakers to know the good aspects of having couriers for non-jackpot games and still approve this law.
Just because something is a law does not make that law a good law. It must be changed to focus only on the problem it is meant to address. That's like putting all citizens in jail just because one person commits a crime. That's just flat-out stupid to do. This is a stupid blanket law that

New York Lottery reviews couriers in state following Texas Lottery controversy
Ok, here we go.
I don't really care about the big jackpot games because the odds are too ridiculous for me. I like to have fun winning on a regular basis so all I care about are the games that do not have prize amounts that increase over time (like the Pick 3) but they are being punished for something that can't even be done in those games. No jackpot can be bought in games that do not have a jackpot so why make it illegal to play those games through a courier.
The law must be specific b

Texas Senator threatens to defund the Texas Lottery
According to Google, the Texas lottery generates $2.1billion for the Texas public school system each year. That s 2.3% of their total budget. With 380,000 total teachers in Texas public schools, a 2.3% cut would be 11,400 layoffs. I don t see that happening unless Senator Bob Hall never wants to get reelected.
All that said, I m not a fan of lottery couriers as I ve seen them win jackpots in both Oregon and Colorado when I ve lived there. I always get excited when I see a lottery jackpot tha

Texas Lottery
Interesting to say the least. I really don't know much about it before I read what you wrote. My thoughts before hand.......I was thinking they set up a store front. Packed it full of lottery machines. Then just started printing tickets day and night. I also heard a something about where they do something to drive up jackpots. I dunno though. And I seriously think there's probably some kinda wording in the game rules. Where they cannot be held liable if they cheated. Sorta like casino's have. Ma

Powerball/Mega Millions?
Finding the occasional straw of truth awash in a great ocean of confusion and bamboozle requires intelligence, vigilance, dedication, and courage. But if we don't practice these tough habits of thought, we cannot hope to solve the truly serious problems that face us --- and we risk becoming a nation of suckers, up for grabs by the next charlatan who comes along.

it be hard to win on 5 ball drawings
Brock lee those balls that come up are either weighted, wifi controlled, or use of magnets. The SOFTWARE COUNTER all we played giving those lottery staff 6 numbers for the actual drawing for that night. They then give their friends of the program those same 6 numbers to go and play like in CALI before the drawing. They make those specific 6 numbers come out appearing it's all RANDOM twirling in our faces when they are manipulated. Everyone is tricked into thinking it's all RANDOM being suckered!

rules for a lottery pool?
We worked in a shop so there was no business travel for us. There was only the Big Game in our state at the time before it changed to MM. We usually just played one drawing a week until the jackpot got high then we would do 2 drawings. We would vote on if we should play both drawings. Jackpots weren't nearly that big back then either, less than 100M.
If someone was going on vacation they had the option of paying in advance or skipping that drawing. A record was kept. Everyone was informed if
