Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Something unusual happened today. I bought two $5 tickets, and they were both winners! A $5, and $10 win on the new $5 Extra play.
Anyone else notice these new games have worse odds than many of the old games, except for the new $1 Monopoly? The new $5 game has odds of 1 in 2.1M at a $500k prize with overall game odds of 1 in 3.99, compare that to Gold Rush Doubler which offers odds at 1 in 1.2m at $500k and overall game odds of 1 in 3.98.

Pick Ten!
Thanks for your response. May I ask where you got that fact about the odds for Pick Ten? On the back of the respective play cards, it says the odds of winning the jackpot on Pick Ten are 1 in 8,911,711, while the odds of winning the jackpot in Mega Millions are 1 in 302,575,350. What I find interesting though, is - On Take Five, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 575,757, while the odds of winning SECOND place in Pick Ten are much less - 1 in 163,381... and yet, there is a jackpot winner o

I play World Class Cash all the time and think its a decent game overall. I am looking forward to 100X next week simply because its new and offers a monster $15M prize at decent odds along with a ton of $1K prizes at a better than expected odds. World Class Cash however offers much, much better odds at $500, $20,000 and $1M so its going to be interesting to see if the game sells really well and generates lots of buzz or becomes a dud due to the $30 price and brutal odds to hit $500. I will buy a

How long have you guys played the lottery?
2 drawings a week for 30 years equates to 3120 chances to win, based on one ticket per draw. Powerball odds are 1 in 292,000,000. To balance these odds in terms of ticket purchases, playing one ticket per draw twice weekly, a person would need to play for 2,807,692 years (rounded). A significant difference over and above 30 years. Yet, the odds still remain the same for each draw with one ticket, 1:292,000,000, even if the overall purchase to odds were equal. Longevity does not decrease the odds

How do you feel that some states are using computers to draw pick 3 &4?

Ohio's Rolling Cash5(5/39) jackpot $586,000 - odds 1:575,757
Time to start playing Ohio's RC5 since its cash jackpot is higher than the odds of winning it. When Ohio's flag ship game Classic Lotto(6/49) resets to $1M, its cash value is only $500K and the odds of winning it are 1:13,983,816.
I may spend an extra buck on it since the odds of winning it back are 1:8.7

Yah, the odds on the new WoF are weird when you compare them to something like Winning Streak, or since it's second chance compared to $5 Flamingo.
The odds of a 2k prize are 3x higher, but the prizes between 50 and 1000 are either better odds or a higher prize for same odds. Meanwhile you have better odds of winning $100 than of winning $30, though I attribute this to necessity because of the bonus box. Either way, I doubt this game runs very long. If it weren't for the 2nd chance drawing I'

How often P3 digit repeats on top next draw?
Repeats in a particular position are 1 in 10 odds so 3 per month per position should be considered normal. Odds of a 3-peat in a particular position would be 1 in 100. So on average 3-4 times a year would be expected. The 4-peat goes to 1 in 1000 odds so expected once every 3 years or so I would say.
Remember these are odds for each line though so the odds that it occurs in one of the three lines is better.

Mega million matrix change prediction?
I think the next matrix change will be something like Pick 5/75 + 1/34, or thereabout. Still a $1 price, but now the odds are 1 in 586 million, which is similar to Powerball's odds per dollar. Either way you look at it, both of these games are no longer attractive to me. For six years after turning 18 years old, which is the legal age to play in Indiana, I was able to go into any gas station with a $5 bill and ask for a $5 Powerball QP, with 5 lines. Then in 2012 it all started to go downhill. P
