Do lottery employees read our posts?
They're truly fascinating to me too, especially the responses with regard to data privacy. Although I understand that data privacy is a huge issue to millions of people, I've never cared about it much at all. From a standpoint of identity theft it's important to me, but to the best of my knowledge, my identity has never been stolen. I've taken all the steps that are recommended by experts to protect myself from it, but even those same experts admit my identity can still be stolen. I'm sure if

Florida lottery winner discovers unemployment benefits collected by imposter
That is what it looks like to me. I've had something like that happen to me. One day I got a call from a finance company stating someone applied for a loan in my name and I told them it wasn't me. They advised me to freeze my credit reports, which I did. I also found the application for the loan on one of my credit reports and luckily, they removed it. I also had one of my credit card numbers stolen twice within a few months. It made no sense to me how they found this information. I report

Husband sends Wife to cash $250 Lottery ticket. She comes back with $10. Ouch! :O
The doubt comes from how low the amount was. $10. That's extremely low. A $40(Paid as a box win instead of a $250 straight) would have been believable. And the fact that husband didn't go to Lottery Clerk himself and demand his money back, get it, and then report the theft to the Lottery Commission.. The way you relayed this makes it seem like he was pissed but just took it as it being his own fault for not telling her how much the ticket was worth and allowed the crooked Clerk to just k

New UK National Lottery operator wants to cut ticket prices in half
[We will] reverse the slide towards scratchcards and instant win games, giving due consideration to the wider societal impact these can have, Mills and Chairman Elect Justin King said. Is that an evasive way of saying they know scratch offs are too addictive to problem gamblers? Or that scratch offs are prime targets of c-store theft and retailer fraud? There are many downsides to scratch offs for sure, but every US state lottery financial report I've read has shown they make up the bulk of

They could have gotten away with Lottery Scam if they sold the ticket...
On a Dumb Ways To Scam The Lottery, video on YouTube, two Crooks glued Their Number, 30 on to REAL number 2. 2 was on top of a 1 Million dollar prize. To the naked eye, it looked like 30 matched a 1 Million dollar prize. The Crooks turned in the ticket to a Lottery Clerk, expecting to get a Claim Form for a Million dollars. They forgot the Barcode would show that this was a losing ticket. The Lottery Clerk had them arrested instead for Attempted Grand Theft. They should have sold the ti

Saddest Lottery Stories? :(
I guess transparency is the right word/reason, but in my state the reason they say they won't allow players to claim anonymously is to demonstrate that the games are completely honest and not rigged. It ensures players confidence is a phrase I've read on their website. While I do think they have a point, because conspiracy theorists abound everywhere (this website is proof enough of that fact) they are failing to consider the fact that without any players, they would have absolutely no worri

Stupid Lottery Players?
Note I didn't say Lottery Winners, I said Lottery Players, A Convenience Store Owner said that two of his Employees STOLE a bunch of Lottery scratch off Tickets right off the rack. He confronted them and they said they would pay him the amount of the stolen tickets when they hit it big. He claimed he wasn't all that mad and had them sign a paper promising that they would pay him back after they won big. They stupidly signed that paper and he turned it into the Courts to have them prosec
