It would create a lot of buzz if it was predetermined that the money would be distributed. I also think a nationalized pool would create more distribution of wealth. I think people would pay $4 per line instead of $2 in order to share the jackpot with others who paid $4 per line.

I feel it too! I had the straight in my picks for tonight but I would have had to play 625 tickets to get it. I think I have the best numbers in a small pool to play but no I have to play all 625 in order to get that straight... I'm going to join you but first I'm going to get an adult beverage so I can't feel the hits to the head. Arrrgggggggh!!!

I thought if you split the ticket, like an office pool, all parties are required to take the same method. Either all annuity or all lump sum. At least that's how it works in CA.
