Steve Player systems are Junk gimmicks
Opcom doesn't make money buying lottery tickets, if it did, it wouldn't be selling lottery systems. State lotteries make their money on lottery losers, if anyone could guarantee that most lottery players would not lose money in the long run than lotteries would cease to exist. Many will play and only a few will win, that is how lotteries work.RJOh

MM Megaplier
With PowerBall odds of 1:2,939,677 of winning $100,000 and MegaMillions odds of 1:2,649,920 of winning $175,000, having a multiplier might not be as profitable for the MegaMillions game as the PowerBall game. I suspect most of the other states are watching Texas to see their results after a year. If Texas can show a nice profit after a year, I would think most of the other states will follow with some conditions or cap on the payout.RJOh

Steve Player systems are Junk gimmicks
Pearl,Any system you used to play the lottery, you would expect to work even if it was free. People even complain about not winning using numbers posted here on the forum freely. The truth is playing the lottery is gambling and using a system doesn't change that. If you play enough combinations, you will win something, but most people not only want to win something, they want to win more than they spend and no system can guarantee that.RJOh

Gang arrested after £1.3m win at Ritz casino
Makes one wonder if there was a program that could suggest lottery numbers that were more likely to hit, would it be legal? Or it you won a big jackpot more than twice, would you dare continue to play in hopes of winning again. Apparently, there no worry about that happing with the lottery software now available.RJOh

Powerball 2004-03-24
I'm not playing PowerBall this week, but I'm picking numbers to practice for when I do. I used the same formula I used to pick my MegaMillions numbers last night that matched 2+1 to break even.FILE : PB032404 01 18 21 28 38 +34 16 22 30 33 36 +27 04 29 32 42 48 +23 03 23 37 47 53 +36 06 10 12 13 39 +22 05 09 26 40 41 +16 08 31 45 49 52 +19 11 19 25 34 46 +13 30 32 33 50 51 +12 03 17 35 39 52 +24 Go

Does anybody win more than they spend ?
Quote: Originally posted by whodeani on March 23, 2004In the last year I have had wins of $625, $1150, $1125, and $1100. All were second tier prizes. These only include the wins that I had to redeem at lottery HQ. This doesn't include the wins of less than $600 that don't have to be redeemed at lottery HQ. I have spent a little over $2000 getting those wins so I am making a profit. whodeani,Which games are you playing?RJOh

Ohio have 2 of top 5 lottery jackpots
Cash,Many states claim that the Pick3 is their best money maker, so it not the goal of states to just have games with large jackpots, but to make money. The only reason states have games like MegaMillions and PowerBall is to attract new players and players who won't play the lower level games. These type of players most likely won't play Hot Lotto either if a bigger jackpot game is available.RJOh

Ohio have 2 of top 5 lottery jackpots
Cash,If you check the data at , you'll see the Hot Lotto's jackpot has never been over $3M and a lot of these games start at a higher level than that, so Hot Lotto is not in the same class. It's a low level game that competes with the likes of Buckeye5.RJOh
