Cashonly
Pray that you don't win. Actually, NY Lotto is a RIPOFF because the prize pool is only 40% of sales, which explains why 3-of-6 wins YOUR DOLLAR BACK. I thought you wanted to wait until a $500 million jackpot. Better try your luck in Canada (all CASH, no withholdings). You CANNOT change your mind in NY...which means if the Brooklyn ticket is for annuity, they're SOL.

therock has come back to lotterypost!
BramaBull ;) where did you live before? I seem to remember it was PA. Yes, NY requires you to choose WHEN you play instead of after you win. Do you go to Canada? (no withholdings, no annuity payments) You better tell this AnnuityIsGreat jerk how ridiculous he is.

Canada 6/49 pays $10 for a 3/6. All the rest are paramutual. This is all off topic now. This thread concerns the World Cup of Lotto outcome, which is a points competition.

ATTN: CHALLENGE GAME FOR EVERYONE
It sounds like fun, but some questions..Who's keeping the score and making the rules? You posted $10/dayYou posted 10 picks/dayMaybe I want to post Canada Super7 picks. You get 3 sets of numbers for $2. Maybe the Australia lotto's: Just $.50/ticket. You get 20 picks/$10.00.How 'bout $10/day and play all games as $US.

Buying lotto tickets online
It seems there's a law against everything a person might do. The way this law reads, if I mail my winning ticket (double-registered) to the lottery corp to claim my winnings I could be spending those winnings, minus the fine, in the crowbar hotel!Only in America, land of opportunity. Not a problem in Canada.

a hot pick 3
I follow the results of many of the big lotto's world-wide on a daily basis. I don't usually follow the pick 3's, but the results are always there, so I see them. A few weeks back I saw a BC(Canada) 111 pick 3 win. A couple of days ago in California, again 111.

Record Canadian lotto Jackpot for 17 May 02
But do they pay Canadian federal income tax on lottery winnings? And if one of those rude Yankies from the South won, what would his/her taxes be in Canada(federal/province) and U.S. (federal/state)? Well, if it climbs to $500,000,000(US)+, I would actually start to care about these questions. Not gonna' drive 150+ miles to play in that 'tiny' jackpot.
