You have to be pretty gullible to believe this woman's story. You are telling me that a woman her age just played for the first time? We have had several jackpots in the hundreds of millions of dollars yet this is the first time she decided to play? Come on now. I might buy it if it was some 19 or 20 year old girl, but not her.

RC5 is structured differently, it pays $1 for a match2, $10 for a match3 and $300 for match4 which is less than NJ5 pays. Both games aim to payout 50% of sales in prizes but accomplished it differently with different payout amounts and starting jackpots.

i imagine that if someone won both jackpots on the same weekend, and each winning ticket was purchased at the same time by the same machine, they would probably have some explaining to do.

If the news ,ecia gets in on the act, extra people pkays which generates the 400+ jackpots overnight. It's not people aren't playing, it's advertising to drawin those 'this is my first time playing' winners.

If the advertised jackpots are really growing about the same as in the past that's clear proof that average sales are lower than they used to be. Changing the annuity schedule resulted in a significant increase in the advertised jackpot relative to sales, and the actual cash value is now significantly lower for any given amount.
