Discovery - New PA Raffle Game Change
It's possible the numbers skewing high in some raffles is due to a glitch of some sort, or maybe it's simply random variation. There's no simple way to really know, and that's the crux of the issue. Other states using RNDs have experienced glitches due to software bugs / misconfiguration.
The RND and related hardware are closed sourced, and not publicly scrutinized nor even visible. Who knows what the RND is really doing; can't see in there unlike balls that are visible and can be closely exa

Take5 NY
So the wife and I decided to go somewhere this morning... we didn't know where, but we were goin'!
We ended up in Woodstock NY, which surprisingly was buzzing with all kinds of people! We went into one particular headshop , and there up on the wall was an original framed poster for the concert. Turns out it was 46 years ago today that the festival began. 'Cept it wasn't held in Woodstock, it was in White Lake NY, which is probably fifty miles from Woodstock. The poster said ya coulda got a ti

NC lottery winner spent $9M bailing out convict fiancé
According to the news reports I read, a bondsman bailed him out. We don't know for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that Ms. Holmes secured the services of that bond agency. A N. Carolina bondsman can charge up to 20% of the bond amount, which in these two amounts in total would be $1.8 million. She won't get that money back, that's the bond agency fee, just like a pawn shop or a bank charges interest on the use of their money. Bonding is a little different than a bank, which normally requires so

Unfortunately the chat feature wasn't working tonight. There was an internal problem due to the increased security that was announced in our news section this week. I have fixed the problem, but too late for tonight. The chat feature will be active next Sunday night on schedule. Sorry for the missed chat session tonight.

Would you be willing to change your name in order to remain anonymous?
Would I change my name... Jane Smith or Mary Martin or Susan Brown... to something really unique... Anna Williams!
Then I would need to change my SS card, Drivers Licence, Passport, all the utilities ... that sounds like alot of attention being drawn to my having my name changed... oh and then there are the ID cards for work... and security clearances...
and to next change BACK to my given/married name... wouldnt that draw attention to the old-new winning name? although i suppose one coul

Online Lottery Play
When I say banned, I mean to prohibit by legal mean.
In a so called capitalist country, if I want to spend my money on a lottery game in another state, than that should be legal, as I demand to do it, and there is a supply.
I dont know if it is a security issue, because if people start putting their personal info online to buy tickets and pay taxes on their winnings, perhaps some sort of chinese hacker will try and steal the winning numbers or perhaps, the government is afraid that lottery

Court rules grandmother, 90, will receive $1.85 instead of $41M jackpot
She got $1.85 (one dollar and eighty five cents).
McKee said she is a widow who lives on Social Security, can't see well
I'll bet her lawyers cringed when she said that in court because their case was based on her believing she won $41 million on a penny slot machine. So far most of the comments are from members that probably never played a slot machine, don't know some machines scroll advertisements for other games, and don't know the games rules are on the front of the machine.

A state lottery could help Alabama get its financial house in order
Will they use the lottery profits to fund public employee pensions?
The lottery may help their finances but doubt it.
Most states are having problems with financing of public employees health benefits and retirement funds.
Any discussion about reforming the public employee's benefits is met with angry opposition by public employee unions.
Could you imagine the uproar if their retirement benefits were to be transferred to the federal level of the Social Secur

RL's T-Lex program download, free software
Skyline
Thanks for the heads up, This program is malware free, it is a stand alone program and does not have the ability
to access the net. I do have a version that has a live update but that option was removed from this program. The
program won't change any window settings and everything it uses is located inside the C:\T-LEX folder. There is
zero security risk when using program.
