Newspaper takes a hard look at the N.J. Lottery
I look at the issue like this:The people who buy the most tickets are also the ones who win the most. So there is a real upside that a LOT of poor people becoming instant millionaires. In fact, according to the logic outlined in the article, MOST of the new millionaires should be previously-poor people. It is quite natural that rich people will not play the lottery as often as poor people. Especially the jackpot games. It also explains why so many people start buying lottery tickets when Powe

Newspaper takes a hard look at the N.J. Lottery
Per law the lottery is played by adults. The amount of dollars being spent are inflated dollars worth less year after year so the increasing numbers of $$$ is a lesser significant point in their weak argument. It is played more in lower income areas because people see it as a viable means of escaping the niche they're in and moving up the socio-economic ladder through a win. It offers both hope and a tangible means of achieving their desires which are in short supply in those areas. Winning th

Phased Ocurrence Comparisons
I post a similar article earlier. I assigned letters to the earliest previous drawing that each number in the winning combinations has appeared. For example A=previous drawing, B=2 drawings back, J=10 drawings back, a=27 drawings back and etc. I then look for the most common words (A-S) to pick combinations to play. I used the words because they do not focus on numbers and the numbers for my combinations fit similar words but are totally random. With MagaMillions, I haven't had much luck with

Why does this happen over and over again?
Hello All,Just wondering if anyone notices that Arizona seems to be very slow on putting out the lottery #'s..I found it tonight on another site but, was unable to find the Indiana results. The Indiana drawing is held at 9:30 at night.I figure since I'm on the east coast there is a time difference but, it's 1:24 am right now here and still no results and there web page is down.I think there might be some cheating going on with the west side doing lottery draws. Seems like some of these states la

Your lottery pool won,but you didn't play
There are 2 very recent examples of this here in Canada. In the first one, where 13 workers shared a $54M ($45M US) Jackpot in Alberta, there was one other that did not play because he was away the day the numbers were picked/played ... he expressed deep regret for not participating, and happiness for the winners, but placed no claim for a share. However, the winners were heard to say on the news they were considering givig the guy some of the winnings anyway, not a full share but a substantial a

lottery taxes
Thanks Dvdiva for the informative article! That was great reading! But there is one thing though, it's what happened in the end! And here it is, right here >>>> Because the plaintiffs have not shown that they are entitled to a tax refund we believe that the district court was correct in granting summary judgment in favor of the government.Eloise Thomas is identified as a plaintiff in this action because she filed a joint tax return with Roy Thomas. This tells me that the Thomas famil

Preparation for picking up the prize.
You can always hire someone to handle all your arrangements as the Wests did according this article: From the New York Post:Steven West and his wife, Carolyn, along with his in-laws Frances and Bob Chaney, immediately hired a publicist who sent the morning shows' bookers a list of demands that rivals any rock star's contract. Doug Orr, the national director of marketing for the Multi-State Lottery Association, e-mailed Today execs: I spoke with Curtis Bennett [the Wests' publicist] this

Winning lottery ticket purchased with stolen credit card
I have no paranoia doctor, I am only referring to the article where it stated that the Police said that the lady would not be able to keep her winnings, and where they were looking for the initial installment she had claimed. I was a victim many years ago with a corrupt Police Officer who threw me threw a glass window and attempted steal my ring on my finger. People put too much trust in them, and give them too much authority today. It was very wrong for that woman to steal by using someone e
