On March 13 of this year there were 238 players that won $500 hitting either 1 of 12 or 11 of 12 playing all even numbers. If all 12 had been even there would have been 238 jackpots winners that would have shared $250,000.

Good luck, Chris! Wish I could play in different states more often. PA odds are a quarter to a half point too low compared to many other states. For example, 1 in 3.25 for $20 tickets while other states have under 1 in 3. Also jackpots are lower in PA for similarly priced tickets compared to other big states. Combined with seeing so many losers and ticket value, am not a happy PA Lottery player.

Happy Birthday scratchers
Has anyone tried the Happy Birthday scratchers?.... I brought 1 (one) ticket since the game started and it did not appeal to me....and I brought it on my birthday!!....Has anyone had any luck... this ticket has been around for quite some time. After checking the stats on some scratch tickets, this one seems to have the highest number of jackpots remaining ?????

The jackpots are slow as it is, so it couldn't be that much difference. If you think it is cool that no where else wins except california, or you want to spin some other goofy excuses to make yourself feel better to keep away those ( hey what if something is going on ) type of thoughts away go for it.

And no one would play because the jackpots would grow too slowly!! Then if a smaller state won more than one jackpot we would have to kick them out also. Or maybe if you don't like the big games just play your own state lottery and just maybe someone visiting your state from California would win it!!

You can see how much they play. At lower jackpot levels, 7%. At higher jackpots 10%. Winning far more than that as a %.

A state that buys 7-10% of the tickets, wins far more than 10% of the jackpots (when they are in the game - see Powerball starting in April 2013 and on or Mega Millions).
