Masked Israeli lottery winners collect country's biggest jackpot
Another glaring example of the anonymity issue.
We'd all like to be anonymous but it requires complete faith in the integrity of government officials not to have their friends/relatives under the masks collecting the prize.
You have to ask yourself a question.
Do you have complete faith in your government officials when it comes to money?
Well do ya punk?

Remaining anonymous
I wrote to the Massachusetts Lottery in regard to anonymity for winners and I got the following reply:
I understand your concerns, but the name and hometown of all of our winners are public information under the Freedom of Information Act and the Lottery Rules and Regulations. Please understand that reason for this law is not to exploit prize winners or to gain publicity for the Lottery. The law was written so that the Lottery can validate its games. To uphold its integrity, the Lottery

Virginia man claims $200M Mega Millions lottery jackpot
Regarding anonymity, this is from Virginia's lottery site:
Can I remain anonymous when I claim my lottery winnings?
No. Winners often ask if they can claim Lottery prizes anonymously. Virginia state law stipulates that a person must claim a prize; winners cannot claim a Virginia Lottery prize with a limited liability company or a trust, for example. In addition, the claimant s name, hometown and prize are public record and are released to the media (usually for prizes $100,000 and up). Win

Will you take your $207 million win in cash?
Anonymous is the only way to go.
What if your state doesn't allow it? Maybe one ought to disguise oneself, at minimum a hat and sunglasses.
But still, it's almost all states' law that they release your full name and hometown right? if your town has only a couple thousand ppl, everyone will know who you are. come'n what are the chances someone shares your full name. Then prepare for kidnappers, dirty mailbox bombs, intruders, etc.
You can hire security guard and someone what w

The Massachusetts Lottery May Be The Way To Go!
After reading about the Florida Lottery winner, who was missing and allegedly murdered; I wrote to the Massachusetts Lottery in regard to lottery winners right to anonymity. I got the following reply:
I understand your concerns, but the name and hometown of all of our winners are public information under the Freedom of Information Act and the Lottery Rules and Regulations. Please understand that reason for this law is not to exploit prize winners or to gain publicity for the Lottery. Th

Anonymity
I wrote to my state lottery........
Dear Florida Lottery:
I found the above story of lottery winner, Abraham Shakespeare, whose body was found buried under a concrete slab in a rural backyard, very disturbing. It is time that US state lotteries allowed winners to remain anonymous. It works very well in other countries, such as Australia and the UK.
When lottery winners are identified there is enormous pressure on them to solve all the financial problems of their family and f

AJ Putz,
Excellent, especially;
You've never heard of me because I pay off others to collect my money so that I can remain anonymous.

Lottery donation decision
I admit at first glance i put maybe this was before i went to their web site and read a few things about the organization. As an officer i would have to stand beside the beliefs of the organization. And vote no but there are circumstances where by which i might want to put it to a vote.
Many things would require me as an officer to do this one being the organization is about to collapse because the monetary donations at some point in time might be so low as to require funding to keep the orga

Kansas man claims state's largest Powerball lottery jackpot one day after winning
With the exception of with holding taxes, the validation process isn't much different than cashing a $5000 pick-4 straight ticket. I can understand why someone who wanted to form a trust, a limited partnership, or have any other reason like remaining anonymous would wait until their lawyer made sure all the T's were crossed and all the I's were dotted. And I can understand why someone else would want to get the process started as quickly as possible.
It's all a matter of personal preferen
