I agree. Sure, being in a pool increases your chances of winning because you're playing with more combinations, but I am not sure it's worth the aggravation. I don't even like to pick up tickets for friends unless they're sick or disabled and can't make it to the store. It sounds so simple, Hey, pick me up a few PB tickets tonight! but when one of those tickets suddenly hits the jackpot, or even $1 million, something simple can turn into a big mess!

If we distribute a partial payment to the orignal pool members they will split town and won't pay the legal bills. Let's drag this on and on so the lawyers will make a killing.

Lets be honest guys. We love reading about the winners and their unique stories. How they turned a mistake ticket into a fortune, or how a work pool finally won when one guy pulled out and so on. LP is popular because of these very stories. IMHO anonymity is good but it would eat into the euphoria that drives jackpots up faster.

Get out before you start, you already have disagreements. If you feel like the extra tickets purchased are gonna help, stay by yourself and cutback on something extra that you buy that ya really don't need and put that $ towards the extra tickets that would be purchased with the pool

@ mcginnin56: no prob actually .... people here (those who can) simply jump into the pool at their apartments or homes, or into the big, blue sea to cool off and they drive around in their icy cool air-conditioned cars, go to work in icy cool air-conditioned offices, then go home and turn on the icy cool a/c or central air - some never really feel the heat - but, they may have to win the lottery to pay the electricity bill LOL!!

yeah awesome work on protecting yourself and the pool, i dont do anything like that but im not doing a work one, justa family one , and one with a few freinds. fact i have two is a worry, never know what people are likely to do when money is involved. think ill pass off the pals one to someone else so im only running 1. ive read enough. i should know better by now.

The problem with playing in a lottery pool is if you ever win any money on your own, they want to be treated like family and share every thing you've won regardless.

If the cost of the tickets copied = the money supplied by the pool. then she should be good to go. if there is a discrepency , then theres a whole wolrd of pain. at least there is copies. also as long as these copies where distributed BEFORE the draw. not afterwards
