Poll: First person to win a $1 Billion JP
Okay, I TOTALLY agree with you. HOWEVER, there is a difference in perception out there between people who spent years working towards making it big, and someone who got filthy rich overnight via blind luck. That's just how it is.
People suddenly get a whole lot greedier and feel a whole lot more STRONGLY entitled to your money when the lottery is involved.
That being said, for a BILLION (with a B) dollars, screw it. I can hire 24/7 security the same as Zuckerberg and Warren Buffet. And a

A gentle start to the morning can be misleading, especially if we believe that everything will run smoothly all day. The Moon slips into the watery world of Cancer at 12:29 am EDT, reflecting our need for emotional safety. We feel everything more strongly now, yet might not be able to outwardly express our innermost feelings to our satisfaction.

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Yeah, technically they *should* be able to, but not sure if you can find someone who will if they haven't been trained, but you can try.
There are 3 ways to validate a scratch ticket:
1. back validation barcode plus the 3 digit security code from the front
2. keyless validation 2d barcode from the front
3. manual entry of validation numbers
I've never seen any cashier in CA do anything but #1. But they should be able to do #2, since the 2d barcode was what you scanned to read the

Relatives fight over estate of poisoned lottery winner
This is going to sound harsh, but, if a man who has a child, chooses to leave his business assets to his wife, then he probably had a good reason for it. He consulted with a lawyer and his business partner and this is what he wanted done. As for the wife selling her share of the business, so what? Lots of widows don't feel up to running and handling their late husband's business dealings. As long as neither the wife nor his business partner were the one's who poisoned him, then leave it be.

Should a winning system be posted on the LP?
I have a friend who bought several of his so called systems not just the cheap low end systems but 6 of the high end systems $150 plus range . All have failed at producing any Wins even minimum return on investment .
Just 1 of many bad reviews :
In the fall of 1999 S.Player mailed out a new system for Play 3. It was illustrated with a graph based on a simple formula. But in his new catalogue he usd a different graph for identically same draw data.
When asked by letter for an explanation

Do you think the lottery if "fixed" in any way?
The machine could malfunction just as easily on the 1st time as on the 10th time. But then, how often do they
malfunction at all??? Not often enough to warrant all the pre-draws, especially with all the security measures in place. And if
they did malfunction that often, there would be such an uproar about the game being fixed they would be forced to do
something anyway.
Which may be why we have all the pre-draws we have now, which brings us back to my 1st sentence.
Bottom line,
