Would you wear a disguise to your press conference?
Justxploring, your killing us with the sex change incognito thing. There's a country song in there somewhere.... I hit the lotto and had a sex change to be anonymous but my ex found me and said I made her give up on men and now is after me for two reasons! I think the perfect way to appear at the press conference, if you had to, would be to get the original Dr Zaius costume from Planet of the Apes.

$500K lottery prize divides two elderly sisters
We have some In-Laws that have not associated themselves with us for several years. I am sure that they would probably seek a piece of tonights Powerball Jackpot if we were so lucky as to win. I do not promise anyone anything and I advise my wife not to make any promises to anyone. That does not mean that I will not share - it only means that I do not make specific promises to anyone. Everyone should have the option of remaining anonymous!

Ask for money
Do you think it is right for anonymous persons to ask a lottery winner for money? I think of lottery as willful choice. You chose to play and you might win. It is almost an agreement between everyone that you put your money in the pot, if I beat you, I take all your money. Do you feel it is right for people you don't know to come an ask you for some money if you won a jackpot? That is even if you receive a letter in the mail and somebody saying that their rent is due or their child i

Two winners to share record A$106 million Australian lottery
A 40-year-old battler now $53 million richer is still reeling from the shock of his Oz Lotto numbers coming up. But the Gold Coast winners of the bonanza have gone to work today. As details emerged about the owners of the two lucky tickets that shared last night s $106 million jackpot, it was revealed that one winner had never bought an Oz Lotto ticket before, while the other was described as a battler. A middle-aged couple from the Gold Coast, having their first lottery flutter and a Sout

50+ millions lotteries: The Divorce Reapers...
I'm new here to the site, so instead of calling me anonymous let's just say that I'll have everybody give me a nickname that they find as suitable and I will go with whichever nickname sticks and sounds the best. To give my insight on this post, I am married and have been for almost 2 years (not long I know) but from the first part of the post I noticed that it said something along the lines of the other person getting half after the 2 individuals split from one another. I have to say that this

Seriously, do you REALLY wanna go public?!
I often talk about lottery with my friends and acquaintances. And I found a very diturbing thing. They seem to have no problem with going public if they win a big one. And many of them had no idea about vultures and swindlers hawking on lottery winners. See, I have no wish to tell anyone if I win a jackpot. Ever. Of course I won't ever announce my winning in here. I will do my every effort to remain anonymous and live a simple life. Some of my relatives handle huge amount of money or pr

Indiana convenience store sells winning $163M Powerball ticket
Kind of reminds me of someone on MSN saying that the country should not be spending multi-millions for today's inauguration, that that money could be better spent elsewhere. Hmmm, let's see...America has always held inaugurations regardless of the prevailing conditions so why should today be any different? Besides, anytime you have a changing of the guard, all organizations find that they are well served by having some type of formal transition ceremony. But hey I am probably speaking to the cho

FL resident looking for way to play/win Powerball anonymously
From checking FL rules it looks like I can't accept here even with a trust, as trust beneficiaries must be disclosed. However I was checking the powerball site and the two nearest states to participate look like Lousiana and S.Carolina. I think in LA the rules are the same as here in FL. In SC though, I see at least one anonymous winner listed. The SC site states that you don't have to be a state resident to purchase a ticket, but that the ticket must be purchased in SC (of course). So the

Piqua lottery winners sued by co-workers
This group of city employees which made themselves public is now getting sued by jealous co-workers who played in previous drawings. Lessons to be learned: #1. Buy lottery tickets alone #2. Play the lottery in a state where you can be anonymous Seems like the perfect plan to me. Where am I wrong?
