calculate the frequencia reference
The previous batch of analytics indicated that (most probably) the most frequent follower for any number in any position is its next neighbor in the number sequence.
Sounds like a sure bet to exploit. Or is it?
Well, additional statistics indicate that you have to be careful with such an assumption.
It is not as straightforward as it appears at the first glance.
Here is why.
First, how many combinations actually have such direct followers? Stats below.
Total followers: 692476

sums de patterns
hello=
Let's create a basic model for Pick 3's positional filters that considers frequency at each position, with a weighting that combines linear and logarithmic aspects of frequency.
### Step 1: Collect Historical Positional Frequency
Assume that for each position (1st, 2nd, 3rd) we have the frequency of occurrence of each number (0-9). Example:
| Number | Freq. Pos. 1 | Freq. Pos. 2 | Freq. Pos. 3 |
|--------|--------------|--------------|--------------|
| 0 | 12% | 9%

Here are the Payouts:
Total Pick 3 Base Prizes Won (includes online and retail wins): $259,815
Total Pick 3 Fireball Prizes Won (includes online and retail wins): $86,266
Plus, that tells us pretty much how many folks are playing Fireball. The usual Fireball payout is about $5000. Back that out of $86,000 leaving $81,000. Divide that by the $200 Fireball exact payout and you get 81000/200 = 400 Fireball plays. That 400 plays number sounds about right to me. I originally guessed 30

That's a big payout! Last time 611 fell straight back in January, it only paid about $312,000. Somebody must have been waiting for that number for some reason...
Also, 611 did repeat straight once upon a time like this - 12/16/2002, 611 , 611

Help with the decimal to nonary system converter
That is where the spreadsheet formula comes in. You can use MS Excel, or free versions like openOffice or even Google Sheets.
Put your many rows in column A. At the first cell in column B, type = BASE(A1, 9). Then grab the bottom right corner of B1 and drag it down to match the row length in column A.
Then you will be left with every decimal number in column A converted to it's nonary equivalent in column B. It does not matter if you have dozens, hundreds or thousands to convert.
