DO NOT PLAY THE LOOTTERY
When bitcoin ETFs became available finally (earlier this year), I moved 3/5 of retirement savings into bitcoin. It doubled in less than a year. It was in a Roth IRA, so no extra tax on the gain. Moved $600 into bitcoin at Paypal about 3/2 year ago. That tripled, but the gain is taxed when the bitcoin is sold (in the US)
I like your the lootery word play. 50% rake of State-run looteries is terrible for the lottery players, but good for greedy States.

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Just a FYI with Bitcoin-based online dice games. Canada recently announced new regulations regarding Bitcoin use. As a result, Canadian online Bitcoin dice sites are shutting down operations as they will not be in compliance with the new laws. While the shutdown may be temporary, they are suggesting customers to withdraw all their coins. I wouldn't be surprised if other countries move forward with similar regulations. Three months ago the IRS announced Bitcoin will be treated as property.

Bitcoin lotto shopping -Yes or no ?
IMHO, it's best to think of Bitcoin as a highly speculative commodity instead of as a currency. The price is gyrating too much to be an effective currency at this point, and too few businesses accept it.
In 2010 or 2011, it would not have been that hard for you to successfully mine (create) 50 bitcoin yourself if you had a reasonably powerful PC. That would be worth $800,000 now. That's cool, but is not a reason to get into Bitcoin now. And mining is now far more expensive and processor in

Bitcoin is a digital currency used to pay for a variety of goods and services. Physical forms of Bitcoin exist, the currency's primary form is data so you trade it online, peer to peer, using wallet software or an online service.
XBT futures provides investors with the opportunity to buy, sell and trade bitcoin futures or implement your trading strategies without having to pay for the actual currency.

US currency being backed by the full faith and credit of the US government is all well and good, but the value of anything depends on what somebody else will give you for it. Government currencies, gold, beanie babies, Bitcoin, and sex all have value based on how much it's worth to somebody else. If you've got some to offer and somebody else has something you want an exchange is possible.
In some cases a low demand can still result in a high value of something that's rare. The recent painting

Who is Sam Bankman-Fried and Why Are The Fed's After Him?
Now you need to go into the details of how bitcoin is 'mined' and how WASTE-FULL it is. Funny how the same people who are telling us we need to drive electric cars and not eat meat -ect, are supporting 'mining' bitcoin (by using and trading it)

Now accepting Bitcoin payments
It's an exciting time for Bitcoin. I really hope it continues to grow in popularity, because it is a wonderful idea that makes it easy to spend money either in person or over the Internet, and cuts out banks and other financial institutions just like paying someone in cash. The only thing holding it back are governments that want to CONTROL the money supply and their citizens. Bitcoin represents freedom and privacy.
